Visualization of membrane localization and the functional state of CB2R pools using matched agonist and inverse agonist probe pairs - now published in Chemical Science https://t.co/rtOCB5xP3u
Our perspectives on the various aspects of bias in GPCR function, with a special focus on their relevance to the kidney, have been published in @NatRevNeph. https://t.co/knY2bAZKBE
Astonishingly, differences in beta-arrestin recruitment almost completely disappeared without endocytosis. Since beta-arrestins form stable interaction with AT1R, even at endosomes, we speculated that agonist-specific differences occur endosomally.
A new paper shows that the #endocytosis of #GPCRs such as AT1R can influence biased signaling through #BetaArrestin, suggesting the efficacy of beta-arrestin-binding ligands depends on spatial location as much as on receptor conformation. @semmelweishu https://t.co/ReFrZhsmNO
Research reveals how location within cells can influence the phenomenon of biased signaling, a Focus dissects recent research spotlighting a potential target for cognitive enhancement, and more in the new issue of #ScienceSignaling. https://t.co/kZX8b9FwAo
Congratulations to @katonalab and colleagues on their new article! They combine #Electrophysiology and correlative #Confocal and #SuperResolution#Microscopy to identify and study single synapses, providing insights into retrograde cannabinoid signaling: https://t.co/xiy4s3xuFc
DSI is a form of synaptic plasticity mediated by endocannabinoids (eCBs). With @LinlinZFan, we demonstrated in vivo that place cell activity triggers eCB signals affecting GABAergic inputs; and that cannabinoid receptors modulate place cell tuning.

I had read a paper on GPCRs and arrestins in @jbiolchem several years ago and sent a congratulatory note to the authors. I met the 1st author in Budapest last week and he mentioned how motivating that email was to him and inspired him to continue in this field. #Win#For#Science.
A few years ago, I conducted an experiment with an endocytosis inhibitor that completely changed my understanding of signaling bias. We dove deeper into the spatiotemporal aspects of bias. See our @biorxiv preprint for more: https://t.co/C9d0U0n3rg #GPCR#signaling#pharmacology
Excited to share our recent review in @FrontSystemsBio, which highlights the use of perturbation gene expression profiles to connect causal perturbations to gene expression changes for drug discovery applications. https://t.co/Rn09jUnMol
We congratulate our colleague, Péter Ábrányi-Balogh, for his recent achievements: in addition to being promoted to senior research fellow, Péter was recently awarded with the Zemplén Géza Prize for his work in organic and medicinal chemistry! 👏👏
Can we identify common mechanisms behind antiviral drug effects by analysing drug and SARS-CoV-2 induced gene expression signatures? Our latest project, led by @BarsiSzilvia is now published in @PLOSCompBiol: https://t.co/290C0N74mh
