This was basically Michelle Obama at Princeton. Her senior thesis was literally just about being black at Princeton. And it was good enough to get her into Harvard Law.
And Barack Obama's first book deal was supposed to be about race relations. But he just phoned in Dreams From My Father, some of which he lifted from I Dreamed of Africa.

@schoolofwarpod Re: the invention of buddy team movement. I suspect the first buddy team movement by a large U.S. element was earlier than Belleau Wood - my vote would be San Juan Hill in 1898. And of course at a smaller level Ranger and scouting units probably used it in the flintlock era

Government bureacrats have qualified immunity from prosectution, but the key word to me is "qualified". Bureaucrats who negligently allowed 100K+ immigrant children to be trafficked for labor or sex should be prosecuted. Even if they are found "not guilty" for some reason or another, it sends a message to the rest of the civil service.

Academic mismatch has been a terrible drag on African Americans. There is that inescapable burden of imposter syndrome, so crippling that some resort to racial hoaxes or bitterness to combat it. Many (most?) divert into easier fields of study instead of pursuing medical, legal, or engineering degrees at less prestigious institutions. Or they drop out altogether, with the shame and financial impact that entails. @jpodhoretz @elianayjohnson @SethAMandel

You shredded your credibility with Platner and you are setting what remains of it on fire with Sayed. Is political power all that matters to you? There is a crop of Dem candidates who explicitly want to bring down our system of government, and you can’t bring yourself to condemn them because it might interfere with “owning” the GOP for 5 seconds.

Not to be hyperbolic, but the Michigan Senate race in November is a 21st Century Manzikert. The Byzantines didn't instantly collapse after the battle, and the Turks didn't instantly occupy Anatolia; it took centuries. But within 400 years they were in Constantinople. In modern times, centuries compress to decades or even election cycles.
If we are having these conversations and issues now, when the Muslim population is 1.5%, what will it be like when it is 3%? 5%? What folly it was to allow Muslim immigration to surge after 9/11 as a way of showing the Saudis there were no hard feelings.

For example, Maher Bitar is being deployed like a chess piece. With his CV, a future Dem President might nominate him for Homeland Security given the right Senate composition. Were he to get into that position, one can imagine the immigration floodgates would open in a very targeted way. @zerohedge Part of it is that they are made to care about things like George Floyd, etc, because Legacy Media shoves it in their faces, while at the same time scrupulously avoiding coverage of outrages committed by illegals, minorities, etc.
