Classic bypassing.
'Those desires are no good, but these ones are'.
Meanwhile completely overlooking the fact that desire (ego) is the cause of suffering.
He's essentially saying: "Don't worry about fitting in with society's expectations, just act according to your own values & desires".
What does he think fitting in with society is, if not a desire? It's the most basic of desires.
@DerrenBrown I was a bit intimidated.... I thought I'd gone pass the port where you check in. But then someone said "Look it's fine, it's all there... and he went straight through, no problem".
@TheProjectUnity Or read the Vedas, Upanishads and other religious texts.
When they refer to Devas, Yakshas etc., it's likely the same phenomenon.
Chasing around the world after people who *think* they know is a waste of time.
@DefiantLs A lot of people don't understand the difference between 'big-G' and 'little-g' god.
The 'little-g' gods are the higher dimensional beings who keep the universe ticking over (according to the gurus).
Big-G is not a being.
@SecretRiversMap All that's needed is for consciousness to turn its light back on itself.
The difficult part is that the mind rushes in and labels what it finds as "boring, empty nothingness. A void". But that's the mind's interpretation of something it just can't grok.
@SecretRiversMap Good one.
There's no higher or lower consciousness, just the consciousness that's attending to the words on this page right now. There are higher/lower states of *transcendence of consciousness*, but no layering of consciousness itself.
It's interesting asking one AI what it thinks of other AI's capabilities.
Grok is quite open about its limitations and will happily recommend other AIs for certain tasks when it fails. I really like that.
@GorillaDolphin@donalddhoffman Trace logic is not Euclidian. They're developing a math framework for consciousness. I think they'll succeed. Hoffman has stated a few times that they will never understand the ultimate truth with this approach. That's for the gurus.
