Today, we celebrated a remarkable matriarch and sister whose courage, wisdom and devotion to family and community created a lasting legacy.

We thank Senators @DrBKhalwale and @edwinsifuna, Bumula MP @HonWamboka, all leaders, family, friends and everyone who stood with us during this difficult time and came to pay tribute to Mary Gorreti.

Even as we mourn, I reminded wananchi that Kenya must return to the rule of law. @IEBCKenya must ensure that presidential election results are declared at constituency level, as provided by law, so that every Kenyan can independently tabulate the results and know who has won.

@IEBCKenya must also undertake a comprehensive audit and revision of the voters’ register, including addressing the reported 7 million records without photographs and resolving all questions concerning the integrity of the register.

We MUST organize as citizens and reclaim our country’s hope, dignity and future.

I encouraged the Linda Mwananchi movement to move with urgency to establish itself as a political vehicle, whether through registration of a new party or by taking over @TheODMparty, so that we can chart a clear path towards the 2027 General Election.

The task before us is bigger than individual politicians. We must build a people-driven movement rooted in constitutionalism, accountability, responsible use of public resources and genuine development.

Kenya belongs to its people. We must organise, participate and reclaim our democratic space.

May the soul of my beloved sister, Mary Gorreti, through the mercy of God, rest in eternal peace. Amen.

There’s a reason they won’t push this as Grand Coalition, because they know very well this is the kind of coalition that has the potential to serve Kenyans, not their interests.

A Maraga, Omtatah and Sifuna led government has the potential to right so many wrongs in this country. That is exactly why the conversation will quickly shift to who can bring votes, who has numbers and who is “electable”, not because they care about Kenya but because they need politicians they can control and who will protect the very system that has looted this country for decades.

This idea that we need Person A, B or C because they will “bring votes” needs to end.
Go out there and campaign for the candidate you believe in, talk to your family, talk to your cousins, talk to your grandparents, form groups, have conversations, convince people… this is how democracies are won.

No one has a monopoly on votes in this country. As someone once said, THE VOTER IS THE KINGMAKER!!

Why are we waiting for the same political class that helped ruin this country to tell us which direction Kenya should take? Until we understand that the opposition is not a group of wealthy politicians fighting each other but you, the people, demanding better leadership, we will keep surrendering our power to those who have never had our interests at heart.

I don’t have designated running paths in my estate I have to compete with motorists

I have patients waiting for surgery but can’t afford it because the facility stopped taking SHA due to non payment

I have undergrads on strike at the uni because the university has no money for their learning materials

I have kids who have chosen not to show up to uni because the new funding model has spiked the uni fees to unaffordable levels

I finished school at a time when government had stopped direct posting only for me to open a kiosk to sustain myself and now your beloved KRA and government are demanding and obscene amount of money that I have never seen yet my accountant has been paying taxes

Now the same greedy beloved government of yours has closed all our hardworking business for two days because their greed has no limits

So honestly I don’t know what you are telling me to be honest 🙏
