जागतिक स्तरावर पुण्याची ओळख 'आयटी हब' म्हणून करणाऱ्या हिंजवडी येथील राजीव गांधी इन्फोटेक पार्क आणि परिसराची दूरवस्था झाली आहे. रस्त्यांची बिकट अवस्था, दररोजची प्रचंड वाहतूक कोंडी, सुरक्षेचा प्रश्न आणि पिण्याच्या पाण्याची भीषण टंचाई यामुळे नागरिकांचे हाल होत आहेत. स्थानिक रहिवाशांना मूलभूत हक्कांसाठी रस्त्यावर उतरावे लागत आहे, ही अत्यंत लाजीरवाणी बाब आहे. येथील दूरवस्थेबाबत मी स्वतः शासन आणि संबंधित विभागांकडे सातत्याने पाठपुरावा केला आहे. गेल्या २ वर्षांत खड्डे आणि अपघातांमुळे २० पेक्षा जास्त निष्पाप नागरिकांचा बळी गेला आहे, तरीही राज्य सरकारला जाग येत नाही ही अतिशय खेदाची बाब आहे.

गेल्या वर्षी मुख्यमंत्र्यांनी स्थानिक लोकप्रतिनिधी आणि विविध आस्थापनांची बैठक आयोजित केली होती. त्या बैठकीत 'सिंगल पॉईंट अथॉरिटी' नेमण्याची घोषणा झाली. परंतु, वर्षभरानंतरही या अथॉरिटीच्या माध्यमातून एकही मुख्य प्रश्न सुटलेला नाही. PMRDA, महापालिका, MIDC आणि PWD यांच्यात समन्वय नसल्याने कामे रखडली आहेत. परिणामी येथील उद्योग इतरत्र जाण्याची भीती निर्माण झाली आहे. मोठ्या परिश्रमाने आणि दूरदृष्टीने उभारलेला येथील आयटी उद्योग केवळ पायाभूत सुविधांच्या दुर्दशेमुळे इतरत्र जाण्याच्या मानसिकतेमध्ये असेल तर राज्य सरकार हिंजवडीच्या समस्यांबाबत अजिबात गंभीर नाही असेच म्हणावे लागेल.

केवळ घोषणा करायच्या आणि बैठकांचे सोपस्कार पाडायचे, या पलीकडे प्रत्यक्ष काहीही काम झालेले नाही, ही वस्तुस्थिती आहे. म्हणूनच मी नागरीकांनी पुकारलेल्या आंदोलनात त्यांच्या पाठीशी ठामपणे उभी आहे. कारण स्थानिक नागरिक, गृहिणी आणि तरुण अभियंते जेव्हा आपल्या हक्कांसाठी आंदोलनाची हाक देतात, तेव्हा ते या व्यवस्थेच्या अपयशाचे लक्षण आहे. माझी शासनाला विनंती आहे की, कृपया चाकण पाठोपाठ पुण्याच्या परिसरातील दुसऱ्या मोठ्या औद्योगिक वसाहतीचे अनुत्तरीत प्रश्न सोडविण्यासाठी पुढाकार घ्या आणि ते प्राधान्याने सोडवा.

बावधन परिसरातील सर्व्हिस रस्त्यांवर पडलेल्या जीवघेण्या खड्ड्यांमुळे नागरिक आणि वाहनचालक हैराण झाले आहेत. NHAI आणि पुणे महानगरपालिका प्रशासनाला वारंवार निवेदने देऊनही दुर्लक्ष होत असल्याने अखेर त्रस्त नागरीक आणि बावधन सिटीझन्स फोरम ला रस्त्यावर उतरून 'खड्डे भरो' आंदोलन करावे लागले. ही बाब अत्यंत गंभीर आहे. नागरीक कोट्यवधी रुपयांचा कर भरतात, तरीही त्यांना अशा रस्त्यांचा त्रास का सहन करावा लागतो? प्रशासनाच्या या धिम्या आणि निष्काळजी कारभारामुळे नागरिकांचा जीव धोक्यात घातला जातो हे अतिशय संतापजनक आहे.
माझी केंद्रीय रस्ते व महामार्ग मंत्री मा. नीतीनजी गडकरी, NHAI आणि पुणे महापालिका प्रशासनाकडे मागणि आहे की, कृपया बावधन सर्व्हिस रस्त्यांची पाहणी करून तेथे तात्काळ पक्के डांबरीकरण करण्यात यावे. येथे पावसाचे पाणी साचू नये यासाठी योग्य जलनिस्सारण व्यवस्था उभारण्यात यावी. नागरीकांना वारंवार पाठपुरावा करुनही योग्य पायाभूत सुविधा मिळत नाहीत ही अतिशय खेदाची बाब आहे.

And he isn't alone. There are many like him in every field. This argument is not a conspiracy by the GCs; they gain nothing either way. It is a question of internal accountability. Your own influential elites are holding the broader community back by refusing to step aside. So Dalits should start asking questions about where the real issue lies, instead of blaming GCs for their lack of opportunities.
