@IsabelM_CSUB @JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi, Isabel. I agree with you about Google Sites. It will be a great tool for our students to organize in one place all their accomplished work. I can't wait to assign it to my students.
@j_moreno63 @JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi, Jorge! We had the same reaction after I made my own website. Yeah, it was so surprising how easy and manageable to build one and to develop it, too. Definitely, something we can apply to our own classes.
A4: All the activities I have done in our Quests are rewarding & will be useful for my TPE, but I think the best is still Google Classroom. It has everything you need as a teacher, & it did improve my understanding of technology in education!

A3: FLIPGRID is a great student-led activity. Students has to READ/research to prepare what they will SPEAK about during the discussion, then they will LITSEN to others presenting and WRITE their responses regarding what was discussed.

@am_csub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi, Adriana. I love Google Slides for teacher use and for students as well. Presentations are so easy to create, and so organized. Students have fun adding pictures to the slides to make the presentations more interesting.
@AbayaArquin@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi, Arquin. I enjoyed using Flip too for our Discussion Assignments. It helped me gain confidence in speaking in front of a camera. It somehow made us connected in our class, because we respond to our classmates on their discussions.
@wyorkcsub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi, William. Sounds like Prezi is a great student-led activity to use for their presentations. I have not tried it yet, but I will keep that in mind for future use.
@JenayCalender@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Yes, Zoom has been a great tool for communication since the last few years. It made teachers' distant collaboration with their students possible. And you are right, it is also useful for professional world. It is even used for families who are far away from each to connect.
@julia_csub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Sounds like ClassDojo is really a great technology resource. I like their classroom management feature that will make our students engaged for sure!
A2: Google Classroom! We used Google Meets during the pandemic. It made classes so organized! Students can see the lesson materials, assignments, tests, & their grades. It is so great that even now, we are still using it!

We may all have a similar answer for this response, but try to think about the specific feature or even strategy you may have seen or done with this program that has helped to build "community".

@julia_csub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi, Julia! I enjoyed FlipGrid as well. Yes, allowing us time to prepare what we want to say before recording is the feature I like the most about it.
@lhall14_csub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi, Lori! I assure you that you will enjoy teaching in high school! I had the opportunity to work at all grade levels, and I enjoyed the most in high school! You will too, for sure!
A1: My favorite education technology resource this summer in EDTE 4200 is the creation of our own Website. I do love it a lot as it showcases all my accomplished assignments in our class. I enjoyed building it too!

I would like to start our discussion with this first question. Think through this before responding...let's also share resources that may have not been introduced in this course.

@Normalinda122 Hi, Normalinda. I am excited for you for returning to school after 10 years to pursue your teaching career. You know what? I am returning to school as a student after 32 years! As the saying goes, "It is never too late to do anything you wanted to do!" Let's go!!!
