Regardless of whose models you look at, all USA #COVID19 death forecasts are terrible -- it's merely a question, as this @CDCgov composite of multiple models shows -- of how much pain America is in for, how high the volume will go.
And that depends on behavior + vaccination.
An really smart idea to encourage vaccinations:
Report hospitalizations & deaths (both local & nationally) in 2 categories: in vaccinated people vs. in unvaccinated people. It would take about 10 minutes for benefits of vaccination to be obvious.

This is soooo good β great graphics that vividly illustrate the risks of indoor transmission.
Highlights the important role of ALL the interventions for indoor events: wearing masks, more distance, less time in space, fewer people, better ventilation, quiet>speaking>shouting.
Hope that the "virus will go away in summer" is fading fast. (Charts: https://t.co/Gpn2SoJavl; #=total cases, shaded=last 14d). Virus is unchanged and ~95% of people remain vulnerable. If we return to our old ways, zero reason to believe we won't see a surge in cases and deaths.
They made it. After launching from @NASAKennedy on the @SpaceX Dragon Endeavour spacecraft yesterday, @AstroBehnken and @Astro_Doug have officially joined the @Space_Station crew today at 1:02pm ET β making history in the process.
