There's a new political boss in New York City, and he lives in Gracie Mansion. DSA is replacing atrophied political machines, and their rocket fuel is a mayor who belongs to the organization and wants them to thrive.

Come with me as I learn about each person at the official Israeli delegation at today's Israel Day Parade in New York City.
These are the people some of my fellow Jewish and other New Yorkers demanded Mayor Mamdani stand with today.

@ChaseMadar It went into effect in 2009! Stop changing facts to suit your narrative. Boycotting a genocidal state just like the food coop boycotted apartheid South Africa is the right thing to do and has nothing to do with Jews.
Drivers are a great example of "equality feels like oppression." The 51% of road users on foot used to only get 30% of the space. Even with the (great) new design, pedestrians only get 42% of the road, while the 39% in cars get 49% of the space.
I've been off twitter for the last few days so I'm a little late to saying this, but I'll say it anyway: Islamophobia enjoys a level of elite institutional support in a way that antisemitism simply does not. The San Diego attack should be evaluated and understood in that context.
🚨This short film exposes the true story of Israel's creation, entirely through the words of its own founders
For decades, Israel’s lies have been carefully designed to demonize its victims. To ensure that no matter the crimes it commits, the children it slaughters, the world remains incapable of empathy for Palestinians, or at best, treats it with the same apathy that has allowed this to go on for as long as it has
On the 78th anniversary of its creation, it's time the world knew that Israel's past is not different from the brutal present the world is finally seeing
@RezaC1@dorapekec Who did he glorify in the rap video? Have you even seen it or is this just another unsubstantiated fact you created like you have for congestion pricing.
How often have you read about Israel's profound weakness despite its extreme lethality? The panic over the story on Palestinian rape from @NickKristof is proof of this weakness. There is nothing Israel can do but say it ain't so. In the words of Leonard Cohen, "everybody knows".
@Nick_Parras@NYC_DOT lol yes cars are more important than 132000 daily bus riders on that route. Roads are for everyone - pedestrians, buses, cyclists and cars and it’s about time space is equally shared
@3wordpoets@BPolatseck 45% households own a car not NYers. Number of NYers who own a car is significantly less. Cars are everywhere because it’s unsafe to ride a bike because of cara. As more bike lanes are built more ppl will ride a bike just like Paris. The city is for everyone not for cars only.
@ImpunityCity@ptr11236@NYC_DOT Yeah just like it was claimed all businesses will leave Manhattan after congestion pricing. Guess what they didn’t happen.
@ptr11236@NYC_DOT So the local community and folks who live there should have unsafe streets, slow buses, unhealthy environment because ppl in outer boroughs or tristate have to come watch games. Maybe the tristates should invest in better public transportation for better connections
@rmusimg@NY1 I’d prefer to stay in New York and ensure that it has the best bike infrastructure just like Paris. Micro-mobility is the future especially in big urban centers like NYC and Paris. You can either embrace or keep on complaining.
