When risks associated with disasters are not effectively managed, they can result in preventable injury and loss of life.
#WHA77 delegates agreed yesterday on the following new resolutions:
- Recognizing climate change as an imminent threat to global health;
- Supporting countries to restructure their economies to serve the health of people and the planet;
- Strengthening health and well-being through sporting events - we thank #Qatar for their leadership;
- Health emergency in #Ukraine and the refugee crisis;
- Managing emergency preparedness for disasters resulting from natural hazards.
