Israeli forces attacked Doctors Without Borders workers—who were all wearing marked medical vests.
They killed Omar, a 42-year-old occupational therapist and sole provider for his family.
He was killed at a bus stop, on his way to take care of other people bombed by Israel.
The interception by the Israeli regime of the civilian humanitarian ships of the Global Sumud Flotilla, the regime’s threats to the humanitarians onboard with armed force, chemical and incendiary ordinance, and sea mines, and any attempt to obstruct their aid delivery, to seize their vessels, or to abduct their crews, are gross violations of international law, grave breaches of IHL, and abuses of the law of the sea. The Western guaranteed impunity of the rogue Israeli regime is the single greatest threat to peace, security, and human rights in Western Asia and the Mediterranean. There are 45 nationalities on board. Where are their governments??
🚨 BREAKING: The Sirius-Haifa — carrying Drop Site editor Alex Colston — has been boarded by Israeli military, according to Novara Media and Middle East Eye. Contact with Colston has been lost; as part of security protocols, he and other participants were instructed to throw their phones overboard before interception.
Novara’s Charlotte England reports both the lead ship Alma and the Sirius have now been boarded. The flotilla is just 69 nautical miles from Gaza, with most boats still pressing forward.
She says the ship Adara is being targeted with a liquid spray, blinding lights, and shouts can be heard onboard from nearby soldiers. Participants believe boarding is imminent.
GSF organizers confirm “vessels have been boarded by military personnel.” They are “actively working to confirm the safety and status of all participants on board.”

"Thousands of Palestinians remain buried under the rubble of Gaza – and yet thousands more yearn to rebuild it. You cannot build a riviera on the bones of the dead. And you cannot build an occupation on the aspirations of the living." - Josh Paul https://t.co/tWqM7Gmu7Q
FLOTILLA UPDATE: We are a few hours from crossing into the ‘danger zone’ where, based on past precedent, Israel might intercept us.
The Italian navy has said that its frigate will leave at this point and offer participants the opportunity to return to shore. We are unsure about Spain and Turkey’s ships.
I am confident no one will take Italy up on the offer: our sights are set firmly on Gaza. We’re going all the way 🇵🇸
The IDF drone “was recording and seeing us and seeing we are all doctors and civil defense and nurses and journalists,” Abu Ubeid told Reuters.
“So, they saw us, and decided to hit us.”
Illegal many times over.
Update: It’s currently just after 3AM and the ships of the Sumud Flotilla have concentrated together under a clear sky. Numerous drones are continually passing overhead as the captains coordinate the positions of the boats and crews remain on high alert, after at least 12 explosions across 9 boats.
Earlier reports said a person on Yulara had been injured in a chemical attack: the person was sprayed with chemicals from an attack by a drone, but they were not injured.
Watch Video 1: Footage of a flash bang from the ship Taigete, whose main sail was destroyed by the attack.
Gaza’s largest hospital, Al-Shifa, was deliberately destroyed by the Israeli occupation forces. Nearly 90% of its equipment was destroyed, including operating rooms, MRI and CT machines, oxygen stations, and critical care devices.
The hospital’s services were paralyzed for months, leaving thousands of patients, including premature infants and the critically ill, without life-saving care. Even now, only a few rooms are operational due to lack of supplies. The deliberate targeting of Gaza’s health system is a humanitarian catastrophe.

Australian doctor Nada Abu Alrub, working at the al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, says the situation is a “nightmare” as Israel continues with its ground invasion
Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who oversees the Israel Prison Service, boasted that the cabinet blocked a proposal to let the Red Cross visit Palestinian prisoners.
“Hanegbi recommended to the PM to allow Red Cross visits … Thank God … he failed to secure a majority,” Ben-Gvir wrote, urging Netanyahu to “immediately announce” the plan is dead.
Such monitoring is required under international law (the Fourth Geneva Convention).
NEW | The Guardian publishes a new Acled study shows that 15 of every 16 Palestinians killed since March have been civilians, one of the highest death rates in the war.
Since the offensive resumed, more than 16,000 Palestinians have been killed, pushing the total to over 65,000, mostly civilians, with nearly 90% of homes damaged.
Acled also tracked a surge in building demolitions and found no evidence of Hamas systematically stealing UN aid, despite Israeli claims. Instead, the report points to chaotic conditions created by Israel’s blockade and bombardment, where looting has increased but without proof of Hamas’ organized involvement.
The report concludes that Israel’s long-term strategy is to block alternative Palestinian governance and push Gaza toward unlivable conditions to force displacement and obstruct sovereignty.
On 15 September, Israeli forces fired upon our clearly marked water truck in Gaza City.
This attack cannot be dismissed as an error. It was a deliberate attempt to sabotage water distribution to civilians:

"Every country was put on notice by the ICJ that there was a plausible risk of genocide in Gaza.. every country became obliged under the law.. not to speak fine words, to take action to prevent genocide.. that obligation was activated on 24th Jan 2024"

The final nail in the coffin of genocide denial:
UN Commission of Inquiry concludes on reasonable grounds that Israel have committed and is continuing to commit the following actus reus of genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip
"I'm there with the sniper rifle, and the officers are shouting at me, 'Take it down, take it down.' I fire 50-60 bullets every day, I've stopped counting"
"I have no idea how many I killed, a lot."
"Children."

🚨 Yemen reports the deadliest journalist massacre in years — 26 reporters were among 46 people killed after Israel launched air strikes on two newspaper offices in Sanaa on Wednesday. Yemen’s Health Ministry says 165 were wounded and warns the toll may rise as rescuers continue to search the rubble.
More than half a million people in #Gaza are trapped in famine, according to a new IPC analysis.
Famine is confirmed when three critical thresholds – extreme food deprivation, acute malnutrition and starvation-related deaths – have been breached.
An immediate ceasefire is the safest way to ensure a large-scale humanitarian response that can save lives.

“Months of warnings have fallen on deaf ears.
#famine is now confirmed in #Gaza city.
This is starvation by design and manmade by the Government of Israel.
It is the direct result of banning food and other basic supplies for months including from UNRWA.
The spread of famine can still be controlled by a ceasefire and allowing humanitarian organisations to do their work and reach starving people with aid.
Time for political will!”
