~Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed~Proverbs 31:8–9
My advocacy journey did not begin today. It began decades ago during my years in the fashion industry in Germany, where I first discovered the power of using one’s platform and voice to uplift others.
Over the years, I became involved in various causes in Tanzania and was recognized by government institutions for my work. During the HIV/AIDS pandemic, I founded the Tausi AIDS Fund (TAF), a nonprofit organization that, according to our records, reached more than 55,000 Tanzanians through awareness campaigns, support initiatives, and humanitarian efforts.
My advocacy extended to supporting people with albinism, promoting access to education, empowering women and girls, and championing the well-being of vulnerable children and families. In 2022/2023, while filming a documentary showcasing the beauty, culture, and potential of Tanzania, I was invited to the Parliament of Tanzania-a reflection of the collaborative approach. Halafu wananiita leo eti- anti-government nilipokataa their killings & ufisadi.
First and most as my previous approach -I believed in diplomacy. I believed in dialogue. I believed that meaningful change could be achieved by working together.
But after witnessing the escalating human rights violations in Tanzania, I could no longer remain silent. I continued to engage through diplomatic channels, hoping those in power would listen. Sadly, they did not.
Then came October 29, 2025.
The loss of so many lives changed me forever. As a mother, I took it personally. I saw sons and daughters whose futures were stolen, families shattered, and communities left grieving. At that moment, advocacy for justice was no longer optional-it became a responsibility.
I will continue to speak until justice is served.
Last year, I launched the Tausi Likokola Global Empowerment Foundation (TLGEF) in USA @tlgefoundation -To date, much of our work has been self-funded, self supported and also by people who knows me and shared my belief that together we can make an extraordinary difference ….these are people believing in humanity…Some members of our board grew up with me. Others have known me for years-some for decades. They include doctors, lawyers, and professionals from various fields to students who generously lend their expertise and hearts to this mission.
Even as our current advocacy efforts have focused heavily on human rights, justice, and accountability for Tanganyika, TLGEF continues its broader mission of serving women, girls, and vulnerable families through practical support-providing menstrual hygiene supplies for schoolgirls, educational assistance, community outreach, and other humanitarian initiatives.
This month, we concluded our second board meeting of the year. As we look ahead, we remain committed to growing our impact, expanding our partnerships, and continuing to make a difference wherever we can.
I have always believed that each of us has a role to play in creating a better world. I invite others to join us-not because one person can do everything, but because together, we can do something meaningful.
Today, I found myself thinking of Mdude, who communicated with me regularly before his enforced disappearance. I took his book with me to the park and reflected on the weight of all that has happened.
How can anyone look at the trail of blood left behind and remain silent? Look at what happened on October 29. Didn’t people like Soka, Mdude, Hon. Humphrey Polepole, and others warn us about where this path was leading?
How do you cling to power after so many lives have been shattered and lost? And still, Tundu Lissu remains behind bars.
This is not acceptable. Haikubaliki.
For the sake of those who can no longer speak, we must continue to remember, to bear witness, and to demand justice.
Mdogo wetu hyu hapa..Number zake pia zipo hapo..

Justice for Tanganyika 🙏⏰ In real diplomacy, space is created through the disciplined pursuit of truth, dialogue, and accountability-not through threats, manipulation, or attacks to those speaking truth. Human rights and dignity are non-negotiable. Real diplomacy does not ignore pain; it confronts it with honesty, creating space where truth can be addressed and healing can begin.
7/7 is approaching, Samia, Abdul and their murderous cabal are scared! The security forces and public servants will be given orders that will be impossible to defend morally, rationally on every level. Everyone will have to make the decision to defend their actions because saying “I was following orders”, “I just wanted to keep my job” - will not cut it! This time around all crimes against humanity will be monitored more closely, and if internarional intervention fails, these crimes will be adjudicated in special tribunals set up by citizens themselves! We refuse to be victims, we will fight back and hold everyone accountable! There is no hiding behind the so called government!
The World needs to warn this murderous regime! Allow the people to take back their power without shedding blood!

🚨 SHAME ON TANZANIA’S JUDICIARY!
The Court of Appeal was supposed to hear Tundu Lissu’s case tomorrow, June 11. Now they’ve shamelessly pushed it to July 3, another deliberate delay in this political persecution!
Even under our own laws (Appellate Jurisdiction Act), this endless adjournment of interlocutory matters is ABUSE of process. Not justice, but a weapon to keep a leader behind bars.
This is not a court , it’s a regime tool! #FreeTunduLissu @judiciarytz #TanzaniaJudiciaryCorrupt
Watanzania, mambo yanaendelea vizuri. Dunia ipo na sisi. Msiwe na hofu, tutashinda. Bado kuna kishindo kinakuja. Keep on fighting.
Nipo na begi la maamuzi magumu. Yajayo yanafurashisha
