My school is “thinking about” a move to having staff use Comic Sans font (size 28) on all presentations to help SEND students… I assume it will be the same demand for any printed resources.
Is this a thing? Any recent/relevant evidence? @tombennett71@adamboxer1@amymayforrester
@adamboxer1@tombennett71 Smart phones for under 16s should be banned completely. They are horrendous. Every school leader/teacher/parent/carer should watch the one off 15 min @russelldavies63 ‘Screwdriver’ It should be shown at parent info events imo

@RogersHistory I quit at Christmas (after 12 years) as classroom teacher and HoY and went to work at a University. I was back in the school I left by May. It made me appreciate teaching/secondary schools - despite all the stresses.
@EmathsUK Totally agree. Smart phones, specifically, should be made illegal until 16. I think this will happen at some point in the future and society will look back in shock that it wasn’t always the case - like we do now in relation to smoking on an airplane or in pubs etc.

Talking with my school direct trainee about increasing pace of lesson by stating time to complete tasks and they say they don’t want to as their Uni tells them they shouldn’t use timers for activities as it stresses out low ability @tombennett71 surely not...?
