Of course, there is no other Arab citizen who does not pay water, electricity and fuel bills.

And $50 million a month from the European Union
And $30 million a month from US
There are Arab countries drowning in debt and they can’t find anyone who would help them even with one million dollars.

🔴 Suddenly we discovered that Gaza was not besieged, and all goods were entering it, as were foreigners and people of foreign nationalities. Its residents were traveling to Egypt and from there to the rest of the world, and Fafo is the biggest example.

🔴 Suddenly we discovered that Gaza was living better than many Arab countries...and its people were living better than many Arab people.

🔴 Suddenly...we discovered that our minds were besieged by a programmed lie...by the (Muslim) Brotherhood media.

מה בין מדינת ישראל לבינה מלאכותית?

קודם כל, אנחנו בבעיה.

השבוע התקיים דיון שני בוועדה לענייני בינה מלאכותית וטכנולוגיות מתקדמות של הכנסת, ואני קודם כל רוצה לפרגן באופן חריג לפוליטיקאי(ת).
יו"ר הועדה אורית פרקש הכהן, @FarkashOrit, עוד לפני תחילת הדיונים הביעה עניין אמיתי וסקרנות בהיכרות ולמידת הנושא. השקיעה שעות בלמידה והבנת הטכנולוגיה, אבל בעיקר הבנה ודאגה למצבה של ישראל בתחום.

למה בעיה?
ישראל שקועה ועסוקה במשבר פוליטי-לאומי-בטחוני מזה 14 חודשים רצופים!
חודש לפני הקמת הממשלה הנוכחית יצא לעולם ChatGPT ומאז ועד היום תחום הבינה המלאכותית המחוללת (generative AI) לקח את העולם בסערה.
לא אותנו כמדינה. אולי רק כצרכנים.

ממשלות בעולם נלחמות על הפוטנציאל של הטכנולוגיה לשנות את כלכלת מדינתן, בונות אסטרטגיות לאומיות, מבצעות השקעות גדולות ומנסות לסגור שיתופי פעולה עם ענקיות הטכנולוגיה.

ממשלות, עימן נפגשתי בשנה האחרונה, שינו את הדרך בה הן מפתחות את מערכות המידע שלהן כי הגיעה מהפיכה המאפשרת את זה. עשרות של פרוייקטים חדשים כבר באוויר ומאפשרים לאזרחים שלהן לקבל שירותים דיגיטליים מתקדמים.

מערכות חינוך ברחבי העולם מבינות את ההכרח לבצע שינוי ודנות ופועלות באופן אקטיבי ליישום שינויים מקיפים כדי לספק לתלמידיהן כלים וידע רלוונטיים לעולם סביבם ולעתידם.

ממשלות (מדינות) מנסות להבין גם את היתרון היחסי שלהן על פני מדינות/כלכלות אחרות על מנת שתוכלנה לקצור את הרווחים.

אצלנו כלום.
ישנן יוזמות נקודתיות נחמדות, אבל בגדול - כלום.

העולם לא מחכה לנו.
המדינה לא לחצה ברקס, אלא ממש העבירה אותנו לרורס. אנחנו לא רק נשארים מאחור כי כולם מתקדמות מהר יותר, אלא אנחנו ממש מתקדמים לאחור.

אני רוצה להייחס גם לנקודה אותה העלה אייל וולדמן, אבל לא רק הוא, על הצורך של ישראל להקים מחשב על בשטחה.

תפיסת הbuild it and they will come לא עובדת ואינה רלוונטית לתחום הבינה המלאכותית המחוללת. בטח לא לישראל.

הדבר האחרון שאנחנו צריכים זה פרוייקט תשתיות נוסף שינוהל על ידי המדינה וייקח עוד עשרות או מאות תקנים של אנשים.
אלא אם כן רוצים את זה בשביל הפרסום ושנוכל "להתגאות" בזה שאנחנו בטום של רשימה כלשהי.

בישראל הוקמו כבר שלושה איזורים (regions) של חברות הענן הגדולות ביותר בעולם. זמינות כוח מחשוב כאן היא לא הבעיה.
ידע וכישורים רלוונטים הם במחסור קשה, כך שבכל מקרה לא יהיה מי שיעבוד על מחשב העל הזה.

אנחנו כמדינה, וממשלה בעיקר, צריכים לחשוב מה היתרון היחסי שלנו, בהתחשב באיחור, ולבנות אסטרטגיה מתאימה וליישמה מהר מאוד.

להקים מחשב-על היה אחד הפרוייקטים הלאומיים שהוצעו לפני יותר משלוש שנים. אנחנו בעולם שונה מאוד עכשיו.

בשנים האחרונות, לפני 2023, ישראל דורגה במספר מדדי AI בינלאומיים במקומות גבוהים.
טענתי אז, ולצערי(נו) הרב והיום ביתר שאת, שאנחנו לא.

אני מלווה ועובד עם מספר ממשלות בעולם בהן ראשי הממשלה ושרים בכירים מאוד פועלים ודואגים באופן אקטיבי לקדם אסטרטגיות בינה מלאכותית לאומית. דואגים לכלכלת מדינתם, לרווחת אזרחיהן ולהכין אותם לעתיד.

יש לנו כמדינה פוטנציאל אדיר, אבל אנחנו צריכים פוליטיקאים שבאמת דואגים למדינה ולנו האזרחים.

Why (why, why) is @Columbia and @josefsorett who are in charge of educating our children and the next generation of thought leaders - allowing a professor who thinks "burning babies alive is awesome" to keep his job?

I never went to school, but one day my kids may decide to go to one. I know I'll never forget this day.

Josef, if by any chance you're reading this - pls consider putting this professor, who I can't even write his name, aside. It's not an easy decision, I get it, and as weird as it sounds, you will absolutely get some people upset that you did that. But this is leadership ... this is your moment, and millions of us are looking for you to lead. When things are not obvious, when data is sparse, when your people and communities need you the most - you rise. you voice. you show up. You're first.

Let us follow you. Do the right thing. This is not a good time to talk "freedom of speech" when kids, and elderly are kept hostage, still as I'm typing this tweet. Not a good time.

Hamas is not ISIS, it's worse. Be on the right side of history Josef, in fact ... change it.

I'm sad to read this. Because I went to @WebSummit LLC for years, and I met @paddycosgrave a bunch of times. A week into the war, when mothers are seeing their babies burned alive by terrorists, when nearly 200 people are still kept hostage, away from their families, when Hamas which is worse than ISIS and Nazis combined because even Hitler didn't burn babies ... is just not a good time Paddy. I'll repeat, not a good time to be "right", and you're just wrong.

This is not a good time go on stage and speak "equality", "listen to the other side", "freedom of speech". Not a good time. I'll send you all the light that I can, because I believe you made a mistake, and you have a huge stage of followers, and deep inside - I'm hopeful that you'll consider changing your ways so humanity gets to witness there is good in all of us.

As for me, I'll never be part of your future initiatives and we'll never work together again. And the truth is that I don't matter as I'm only one Israeli guy, living in America, out of thousands who go to WebSummit. But - I'll feel better about myself and that matters too.

שוחחתי הבוקר עם אנשים שהיו בפגישות עם ניר ברקת השבוע מספר פעמים ומספרים לי על ניתוק מוחלט של האיש מהמציאות.
האיש לא מסוגל להתנהל בסיטואציה, לא מבין את כוחו ואת מגבלות כוחו. לא מסוגל לקבל החלטות או להוציא תוכניות לפועל.
