Dear people still talking about a 'Gaza genocide'. Can you point to a single other "genocide" in all of recorded history where:

a) The targeted population grew larger every year with thousands of births monthly,

b) The targeted population refused at any time to surrender,

c) The genocidal party provided mass humanitarian aid,

d) The genocidal party warned the target population to move to safety,

e) The targeted population of the genocide held victory parades,

f) The genocidal party had the ability to wipe out the entire targeted party from the air without a single military casualty but intentionally chose not to do so,

g) The genocide abruptly stopped with a ceasefire agreement,

h) The target population produced hundreds of medical students who completed their university studies and graduated during the genocide.

Any one example will do. Don't even need specifics.

Norman Finkelstein raises (by mistake) an important point about the Hamas-Israel war: no one ever asks how many of the Jews killed in the Holocaust were combatants.

That's because the Holocaust had nothing to do with anything Jews did. They were murdered for being Jews.

Jews in Europe had no army, killed no German babies, raped no one, and took no hostages. Hamas did all four and more.

That's the difference between a war and a genocide.

Genocide is the intentional killing of non-combatant civilians in an attempt to reduce or eliminate the numbers of a particular race, nation, or ideology.

Hamas is genocidal, their charter demands the destruction of Israel. (They watered it down recently, but their intent is still clear)

October 7th was an act of Genocide since it was motivated by Hamas' chartered intention and was indiscriminate in the brutality and targeting of the killings. Hamas must be stopped.

Iran supplied weapons and training and financial support for Hamas, a clearly genocidal organization. Iran also regularly proclaims "Death to Israel. Death to America". Iran has genocidal intent. Iran, and its proxies, must be stopped.

Israel concluded that they must stop Hamas. Hamas hides behind civilians. This makes Hamas doubly genocidal since the more civilians that are killed the happier they seem to be.

Israel send leaflets, texts, phone calls to warn the population. They sent tons of food and supplies to support the population. They set aside refuges for the population. Genocidal nations don't do that.

Yes, a lot of Palestinians were killed in the fighting. Terrible. 20,000+ Germans were killed in the Dresden fire bombing. Awful. 100,000+ Japanese were killed in the Tokyo firebombing. ~210,000 Japanese will killed by the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

None of those actions were genocidal. The attackers had no genocidal intent. Their goal was to stop their enemies from further attacks.

There are "experts" for everything. The UN is full of "experts". But any "expert" that claims that Israel is committing a genocide is either horrifyingly ignorant or selling something evil.

There are several main thrusts to the genocide libel.
- One is Amnesty calling it a genocide even though they admit they have changed the definition of genocide to accuse Israel of it.
- One is an ‘independent UN report’ by three UN workers with a history of anti Israel activism which hasn’t been adopted by the UN.
- One is the ‘genocide scholars’ even though anyone (you don’t even have to be a scholar) can join the genocide scholars organisation and only 28 per cent of the 500 members voted in what was seen as a political hijacking.
- And finally you have South Africa and others bringing a genocide case at the ICJ. Nations behind this such as Ireland have pushed for the definition of genocide to be changed. The court has said it will allow the case to be heard even though Palestine isn’t a country and it’s being brought by a third party leading to confusion that this is a ‘plausible case’ for genocide rather than the more complicated idea that South Africa can plausibly bring this case.
In plain terms: Palestinians have a plausible legal right, under the Convention, to be protected from genocide, and South Africa has a plausible right to bring the case. That is all the word “plausible” referred to.
The Court did not find that it was plausible Israel was committing genocide.

In contrast you have facts.
If Israel intended to commit genocide of the Palestinian people (and intent is the key word in the genocide definition) it would not have fed them, given them polio vaccinations, moved them to humanitarian zones when it tried to fight Hamas etc and there would be many, many, many more dead.
That’s why you have these 6000 experts and genocide scholars saying it not a genocide.
The genocide libel against Israel was started in the 1960s by the Soviets to attack America and Israel. It was pushed though the USSR via the UN and now trips off the tongue of antisemites everywhere who don’t understand that genocide is different to war. You don’t have to agree. You don’t have to like what’s being said. But if countries can’t even sit in the same damn room and listen to each other, what exactly are we paying for?

I’m tired of watching our tax dollars disappear into institutions that seem increasingly incapable of doing the very thing they were created to do.

Wars everywhere. Countries refusing to listen to each other. Delegates walking out when they don’t like the speaker.

And we call this the UNITED Nations?

At some point you stop fixing something that clearly isn’t working.

Dismantle it. Keep whatever actually serves a purpose and build something better.

Only ONE of those 59 was th victim of unprovoked violence by an Israeli civilian.

The other fatalities were either terrorists killed while carrying out attacks against Israelis, Arabs killed in confrontations with Israeli security forces, and 4 incidents (all related to the Arab rioting that sparked the Guardian of the Walls Operation) in which it could not be conclusively established.whether the IDF or Israeli civilians had fired the fatal shot.

Take the year 2024 for example:

OCHA records five Palestinian fatalities. What they don't tell you is that all 5 were killed by Israeli security forces, not by "settlers".

For additional context, over the comparable period, Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria killed in Arab terror attacks amounted to 12.18 per 100,000, compared with 0.04 Arab fatalities per 100,000 - INCLUDING those killed while carrying out attacks and those killed by the IDF.
