SENCO Network Day 2 with the amazing Rachel Cosgrove and a fantastic group of SENCOs from primary, secondary and special schools! Lots to take away and put into practice back in our schools. @rachScaffoldEd@DiverseAcad@DiverseAPL#SENCO#SEND
As #AssociateTeachers or #TAs, how can we help #pupils develop & what might we expect at each stage of #learning? Find out in our #new module from @rachScaffoldEd , #SENCo and #author of ‘Inclusive Teaching in a Nutshell: A Visual Guide for Busy Teacher’: https://t.co/AWmkQC3m8V
As a SENDCo this fairy tale is mine too. Thank you Heather for raising awareness of how tough the job is, how the job is never done and that we have to be the champions of SEND.
Busy week away delivering inset day on adaptive teaching, SENCo coaching in a primary and 2 days SEN strategy development in large secondary. The north east is sunny and lunch in Newcastle is next stop. #inclusion#SEND#CPD
@naomicfisher Oh my goodness. I can feel that need to soothe right now just reading this interaction. And you are so right, that need to try and hold a spurious boundary because there might judge us. The conflict in our minds to do what feels right.
Parent observations need to count as much as teachers. Children's voices need to be heard. Otherwise our 'science' or 'evidence' is lacking the whole story. And when that happens, any conclusions are thrown into doubt. 12/
Quite a lot of love for Gove flying around since the publication of P8 league table this wk. Here's why he was a disaster for education: 1. He cancelled Building Schools for the Future programme. Look at the state of our schs for evidence of why that was a terrible idea...[1/n]
Wowses. Ex Greek finance minister @yanisvaroufakis tells me Suella Braverman should be "expelled" from the UK for starting this "misanthropic, stupid debate" about immigration — that she is a "ridiculous idiot" and a "poor excuse for human nature"😳
