Talk about a cosmic glow-up✨📸
This progression of images of galaxy group RSCG 55 shows the evolution of ground-based sky surveys spanning more than three decades🤯, ending with NSF–DOE Rubin Observatory's view.
Sweet dreams, @NASAArtemis II crew.
One last look at the Moon before flight day six and your epic lunar flyby, taking you farther into space than humans have EVER traveled.
Even in darkness, we glow.
In this image of Earth taken by the Artemis II crew, we can see the electric lights of human activity. In the lower right, sunlight illuminates the limb of the planet.
That's us! 🌍
The Artemis II crew captured beautiful, high-resolution images of our home planet during their journey to the Moon. As @Astro_Christina put it: "You guys look great."
Good morning, world! 🌎
We have spectacular new high-resolution images of our home planet, all of us looking back through the Orion capsule window at our Artemis II astronauts as they continue their journey to the Moon.
@AryHHAry Seberapa yakin bahwa semesta kita adalah yg mengalir maju dan menjadi semesta utama?
Kita tidak pernah tahu, jangan² semesta kita lah yg sebenarnya sebuah mirror. Sebuah semesta kebalikan. Kita menganggao sebagai semesta utama, padahal hanya sebagai semesta cermin.
Take this storm seriously, folks.
Moderate to major impacts are expected from the Central US through to the Northeast today through the weekend.
- Hazardous to impossible driving conditions are expected. Avoid travel if at all possible.
- Widespread closures and disruption to infrastructure may also occur.

🚨 3I/ATLAS: HUBBLE ENDED THE DEBATE
This photo of 3I/ATLAS just ended the debate.
Look at it.
No, really LOOK.
A perfect glowing blue sphere with laser beams and peeling rings.
Normal comets don’t do this.
Ever…

BREAKING: Sugars essential for life have been found in pristine asteroid Bennu samples collected by NASA’s OSIRIS-REx spacecraft. Combined with previous detections of amino acids and nucleobases, we see that life’s ingredients were widespread throughout the solar system: https://t.co/Tb3HpwZG9J

In 1959, two physicists predicted a strange effect: an object moving near the speed of light wouldn’t just look shorter — it would appear rotated. Now, scientists have recreated this illusion in the lab.
Called the Terrell-Penrose effect, it comes from Einstein’s special relativity. When something moves extremely fast, light from its front and back reaches your eyes at slightly different times. This tricks your brain into seeing the object as twisted, even though it hasn’t actually turned.
To test it, a team at TU Wien in Vienna slowed light down to just 2 meters per second using lasers and high-speed cameras. This let them simulate what a fast-moving cube would look like. The result? The cube appeared rotated exactly as predicted.
It shows how relativity can change what we see, even if no rocket can reach those speeds.
