@samanthavasy @935Curr Absolutely, I believe that utilizing the dominant groups' privilege to empower the other groups and help them get their voices heard is an effective way to develop critical social justice skills

Unfortunately, some people were raised to only distinguish between two extremes; they can see nothing in between. For them, shades do not exist on so many levels. I believe that binary thinking plays an essential role in discrimination and discriminatory actions.

• I have to admit that I adopted polarized binary thinking on some levels in my early youth. I used to see things as black and white; I used to see people and actions as good and evil, right and wrong, heaven and hell. As I grew up, matured, and learned, I started to see shades.
