For over two months, Khalil Baloch—a M.Phil. scholar—remains a victim of enforced disappearance. His abduction aims to instill fear and disrupt the harmony of Baloch society. We demand his safe and immediate release. #ReleaseKhalilBaloch#KUmustfinditsStudent

Haroon Zehri, son of Rauf Zehri, was born in a foreign country, United Arab Emirates. He received his early education from abroad and completed matriculation there. Years later he along with his family relocated to their ancestral home of Khatan in Khuzdar, Balochistan. He was studying there, but the love of the motherland made him return home.
After returning to homeland, he continued his education in Khuzdar and completed his intermediate studies in Computer Science at Khuzdar Degree College. He was in his early age when he joined Baloch Student politics. Following the 2006 Council Session, he joined BSO Azad and actively participated in every facet of the organization’s work and became one of the brave and influential revolutionary characters in the student circle. Alongside his political journey, he moved to Shaal for further study and pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Balochistan.
He maintained his academic career and national duty of struggling for his oppressed nation through the student politics. Known for his warmth and approachable nature, he was at forefront in addressing the everyday social issues faced by Baloch students. He was active in the peaceful political struggle, educating and leading his fellows towards the knowledge and freedom. As a result of his activism against state violence in Balochistan, he was repeatedly detained by police and law enforcement agencies of colonial Pakistani state. Because of his deep commitment to the Baloch cause, he deliberately avoided government employment which lead people towards personal greed, choosing instead to work for a non-governmental organization to meet his financial needs.
When the Vice Chairman of BSO Azad, Zakir Majeed was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces, Haroon and his comrades blocked the main highway connecting Quetta (Shaal) to Karachi and protested against the illegal enforced disappearance. In response of his courageous act, the colonel and puppet government arrested and detained him. Multiple bogus cases were filed against him to make him threatened and feared. But those arrests and detention never halted his political struggle against the oppression.
On October 7, 2012, he was assassinated by colonial Pakistani state sponsored religious extremists in Khuzdar. He was the brave hero of Baloch land, who left the foreign country and the luxury life and chose to struggle for the independence of Balochistan. BSO Azad pays richest tribute to the courageous revolutionary hero, Haroon Baloch. His contributions and sacrifices remain an enduring part of the struggle for the liberation of Balochistan. He is not alive today, but the song of his bravery echoes from the top mountains to deep ocean of Baloch land.

Shaukat Buledai was born on 8th August, 1976, in a small but historic village of Menaz, Buleda, Balochistan. He opened his eyes in the house of Muhammad Usman and Hair Bibi. In a colonised land, he received his early education in his native village, then moved to Karachi for further education and completed his matriculation there.
He couldn’t continue his education due to financial issues, and moved to UAE for a job purpose. He secured a job at a bank, later he started a self owned small business. But there he began participating in political and literary activities and became social to the Baloch national cause through interacting Baloch political workers.
At the start of 21st century, Balochistan’s political landscape had a turning shift, Baloch students and mass politics turned into a more ideologically cleared direction. The surface politics began advocating for the liberation of Balochistan for the first time in Baloch national history. Shaukat could not resist this change but adopted the revolution, he returned to Balochistan after the martyrdom of his brother in law, Altaf Baloch. Martyr Altaf Baloch was killed by occupying Pakistani security forces in a public gathering, organised by Baloch National Front, on the martyrdom anniversary of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti in Kech.
After returning from UAE, he actively participated in mass politics on the platform of Baloch National Movement. He became regional president of Kech region and worked on strengthening the mass politics. He later was twice elected as central committee member of the party in the 2010 and 2014 central council sessions. He played a revolutionary role in the party politics on regional and Balochistan level, working on organising the national movement through his political activities.
He got himself skilled in literature and media fields, and came forward practically by founding Sangar Publication. He launched Sangar Publication, publishing Sangar Magazine monthly, contributing ideological literature on the Baloch liberation movement. Organising the literary and digital media, he started Radio Sangar in digital form to cover the unheard stories of oppressed Baloch nation. Under the Sangar publication, he published magazines, journals, books and a digital newspaper on the name of Daily Sangar. He was working anonymously and silently in the literature and media fields.
Due to Pakistani state atrocities against Baloch political workers, he left the homeland and became exile in a foreign country. He was exiled, but his spirit and ideology were become more matured, there he continued his literary and media responsibilities under the banner of Sangar Publication. In one side, he was far from his homeland and exiled; a pain may not anyone feel, secondly he was on threats from colonial Pakistani state, and at last he was fighting an illness. He was targeted by assassination attempts from occupying Pakistani state twice in 2024, he got injured but survived. He fought against all three enemies but never stepped back from his national duty.
Living in exile, he became ill, indications of slow poising from the enemy and later passed away on October 5, 2025 in a hospital. No one knew about the founder of Sangar Publication and Baloch nation was not aware of such an anonymous revolutionary character until he left this world. He was far away from his beloved nation, silently working in exile until his last breath. Characters like Shaukat Buledai are real heroes who despite of such circumstances continue their contributions in Baloch national cause. BSO Azad pays tribute to such revolutionary characters and urge the Baloch journalists to follow his path.

Hasil Baloch, son of Master Arz Muhammad, was born on January 2, 1995, in Mandeel village of Mashkai, Balochistan. He got his early education from his hometown and later studied intermediate at Inter College Awaran. When he was studying in his intermediate years, Baloch nationalism was rapidly growing in root level of Baloch nation’s consciousness.
Baloch students politics was expanded across Balochistan and youth were joining the Baloch national cause in the platform of students organisations. Hasil Baloch participated in the student activism and joined students politics on the platform of Baloch Students Organisation Azad. He was not only an active member but a hardworking and committed activist, he was soon elected as president of BSO Azad Mashkai Zone. Under the zonal presidency he played an ideal role in coordinating the organization’s political activities across the Mashkai region. A dedicated activist, he was widely known for his deep commitment to the national movement and his keen interest in revolutionary literature.
Under his leadership, the zone sustained its political work despite severe crackdowns by occupying Pakistani state. Escalating state pressure and persistent surveillance disrupted his formal education, targeting him for his advocacy and political organizing under the banner of BSO Azad. A staunch believer in political activism, he was repeatedly targeted for exercising peaceful political struggle. But he never weakened his sprite neither he stepped back from the national cause.
On October 5, 2016, Hasil Baloch was martyred during a military operation conducted by occupying Pakistani security forces in Kolwah, Awaran. His dedication and sacrifices remain a recognised chapter in the history of Baloch political struggle. When political circumstances were harsh, he stood for his nation and kept his legitimate struggle against the colonial Pakistani state until his last breath.
BSO Azad pays richest tribute to the fallen comrade who kept struggling for the independence of his motherland. It’s been ten years, he is not among us, but his ideology and legacy is continued through the brave comrades of the organisation

"My mom cries everyday, She says it would have been better if he (Shabir Baloch) had been an illiterate, at least he would’ve been at home"

A family has endured a decade of agony, carrying the unbearable pain of Shabbir’s disappearance.
For an entire generation, Baloch society has been deprived of a voice of knowledge, inspiration, and hope.
