That time of the year when Lord Ganesha along with his devotees braves the Mumbai traffic to reach various locations in the city for his upcoming birthday celebrations !
BMC leases the place to them for 3 months and they live here during this period..they have professional supervisors and this site had a JJ school of Arts alumini..
Came across some gifted artisans making Ganesha idols near Byculla.. it’s amazing that they complete each of these huge idols in 2 days.. almost all of them are migrants from outside Mumbai and work round the clock under the supervision of professionally trained artists..
@AdityaDharFilms Faujis and their families looking forward to seeing Dhurandhar-The Revenge disappointed that the movie is not being screened in Cinemas in the Fauji Cinema Halls.
Sometimes one experiences amazing stuff travelling in India. During a visit to Bhiwani, Haryana, I met a 12 yr old boy - Anuj Haluwasiya, a student of Folk music (has won a few awards) practicing outdoors with his colleagues after a performance in an event. @art_haryana
Indian Cricket coach has this to say about skill - "You don't need the most flamboyant and talented cricketers to play Test cricket. What we need is tough characters with limited skills. They make good Test cricketers,"#BCCI , #bhogleharsha
Indian media should stop showing close up views of grieving family members during funerals. Their emotions are personal and it’s sad to see TV camera zooming in on the faces of grieving family members. #ndtv
#BCCI If the Indian Cricket coach does not find anything wrong, with pitches like Eden Gardens, I will not be surprised if the Indian Cricketers prefer playing abroad rather than India. The matches abroad go into for 4th/5th day and the batsmen get to score some runs !
In one of the exchanges after things have gone terribly wrong because of his orders, the senior leader asks his subordinate - ‘Where have I done any wrong’ ?.
The subordinate officer’s reply leaves one astounded - ‘Because you don’t know the answer to that question, I pity you’.
Saw the classic Military movie by Stanley Kubrick - Paths of Glory released in 1957 starring Kirk Douglas.
In spite of having seen it a couple of times, I am always amazed at the way Kubrick addresses leadership, honour, empathy and integrity.
2/2 In spite of his challenges, he had engaged a proper coach as his son wanted to excel. He would continue his Zomato duties after dropping his son to clock as many hrs as possible. Many Indian Cricketers probably have similar stories about their parent’s role in their success.
1/2 It was a wonderful experience conversing with this person in Zomato uniform, resting on a scooter, looking at kids practising cricket at Oval Maidan. He said he was on a short break from his daily work, waiting for his 13 year old son to complete his coaching for the day.

@airvistara Arrival details of UK522 (scheduled arrival 1615 hrs) not available on board at Mumbai Airport T2 in spite of the flight being late by more than 3 hrs. Airport office of Vistara totally oblivious and putting blame on the Airport administration.

The vehicle supervisor at T-1 was extremely rude and arrogant to ladies during midnight hours. When asked for ID, he showed an ID which has expired nearly 3 years back in Dec 2020. Unacceptable security protocols.
