पावसाळ्यात शहरात निवडणुका होत नाहीत हे सत्ताधाऱ्यांच्या दृष्टीनं फार बरं आहे.

शहरातील व्यवस्थेचा दरवर्षी नेमानं बोजवारा उडतो त्या वेळी मतदारांचा राग टीपेला गेलेला असतो.

पण, ह्यावर राजकीय वर्गाला हे माहीत आहे की नंतर जे उत्सव येतात त्यात मतदाराचा राग हळूहळू कमी होत जातो. मग हा महामहोत्सव, हे फुकट, ते फुकट, ह्याचं पूजन, त्याचा सोहळा करत करत ह्या मतदारांना सहज वश करता येतं. हे वशीकरण मतदार जेंव्हा थांबवतील तेंव्हा नवी सुरुवात होईल.
