Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray joined residents and IT employees protesting in Hinjawadi over poor infrastructure and civic issues.

“Today, I protested in the IT sector area. What you see here is residents and IT employees coming together to protest. We are raising very basic demands… If you cannot provide these basic facilities in 2026, what kind of regime is this?” he said.

The protesters raised demands including pothole-free roads, proper footpaths, timely waste collection, adequate water supply and the commencement of Metro services despite the project being ready.

Thackeray said the protest was about the everyday concerns of residents and IT professionals, rather than a political agenda.
