About a month ago, powmia99 discovered a way to trigger arbitrary code execution fully standalone in Animal Crossing GameCube with nothing but a controller. This was confirmed by Cuyler and I to work on vanilla hardware and we now have a setup that makes it 100% consistent.

@_nonfigurativ_ What kind of cable? Installation cable has solid core copper, patch cable has stranded copper. Requires different rj45 connectors and if you can avoid crimping rj45 connectors on solid core, do so.
They are primarily meant for for keystone jack or punchdown jack.

Just dumped one of switch 2 game binary (userland bug)

It was quite fun because I used HDMI capture card to dump the memory by sending the data as patterned image frames and decode at PC

Took over an hour but it worked

Will be used for examining how switch 2 PAC works
