@tesol81@SumoZeki And more often than not, an attempt to pull or slap him down just leads to some further catastrophe where he gets a better position or even behind his opponent at times!
@SumoZeki@tesol81 I think Aonishiki is uniquely capable of doing it that way because of his incredible stability at basically a 90 degree angle. I don't recall him ever losing with an attempt due to downward pressure by the other Rikishi. His sumo is a joy to watch really
@JohnnyBruce1970@SumoZeki That along with uchimiso is one of his signature moves. He's really the only guy attempting these kinds of wins at the moment.
@ItIsMikeFitz@paulb3rd Yes, it can. The energy demand for hypertrophy is tiny. You build muscle at grams at a time. The only people who can't maximise hypertrophy at maintenance calories are completely shredded or really underweight.
@drmarlonperalta I mean there is zero benefit so why do it. You'll just put on fat that you have to lose later (unless you're on drugs ie your anecdote is irrelevant to natties). Maintenance calories to a small surplus will maximise hypertrophy. It's not really up for debate anymore
@SumoZeki He likes a high position which really does not pair well with Aonishiki planting his head on his chest. He needs to adapt but he probably never will.
@user_mm_@kylelewisfit The fat on your body plus food? The idea is that your maintenance calories increase as your gain lean mass, so you're always supporting a certain amount of body fat for your hyertrophy needs. The only scenario this won't work is if you're already completely diced
@Doc_Red_ Full body 3x per week or every other day is literally the most optimal way to train physiologically. 6x per week is a waste of time unless you just love the gym
