A girl just said she tried to get rejected 1000 times in 2025 and ended up being cast in plays, winning pageants, securing hella paid brand deals, and appearing in commercials. This is your sign to chase rejection to the point of "accidental" success. You'll be surprised.
@manujosephsan You have many gifts like acerbic humor, astute social commentary but subtlety isn't one of them good sir. That hindi title is hilarious 😂
"I wrote 11 scripts before I sold my first script."
Michael Arndt on what it takes to be a successful writer:
"I'm gonna be a writer, I'll probably write a screenplay a year, and I'm probably gonna live for fifty more years. So I'm probably gonna write 50 screenplays."
"If I'm lucky, five of them will get made into movies. And if I'm lucky, one of them will be a good movie."
"My number one thing is you gotta be humble."
"Kurosawa gets up to receive his honorary Oscar. He's in his eighties, and he stands up and he goes, I don't feel like I deserve this yet because I'm only beginning to understand movies now.
And I'm like, if Kurosawa can be that humble about movies and storytelling, like, we should all be humble."
Why waiting to feel motivated is the wrong strategy:
- Rise early, train first - make it non-negotiable
- 3 hard-boiled eggs post-workout, same routine, every day
- Stop waiting to feel motivated - set the mechanism before you need it
- Schedule practice for everything - time is limited, don't waste it
- Discipline isn't a feeling. It's a system you build before you need it.

People have a hard time understanding that you need to do extreme things to get extreme results. Doing what everyone else does cannot get you an extreme result. In fact it guarantees you become mediocre
Several extreme things > decades of normal
@MuseZack It's more like she outed herself as a CCP plant when she was asking Nolan about god & her only two interpretations were 1) are they figment of imagination or 2) necessary lies... 😂..
@JackSutpen Just because people are suffering doesn't make them good or just by default. Why did the USA join the war post pearl Harbor? Who provoked America? don't poke the bear. As far as holocaust, it's not exactly wat isn't it? It's armed state vs unarmed jews, so it's heinous.
@jaredpannell01@MuseZack but as you said that's how Nolan interpreted it but not what the books say i suppose. Even if the whole war was an excuse to gain control of the trade routes, it is still rooted in serious violation of xenia by Paris & his entire kingdom stood by such violation, Troy had to burn.
@MuseZack a city that chose to go to war to defend an illicit affair rather than deal with it as per the law of those times invites the worst. I'm not condoning the war crimes but the self flagellation has become a theme from Oppenheimer. People fighting wars do what they had to do to win.
@jaredpannell01@MuseZack But it was already violated isn't it? Infact egregiously when Paris eloped with the wife of his host. So why hold Odysseus to higher standards?
@tylerhnorris Why is Odysseus the one atoning? Didn't he do what he's supposed to do? Win the war for his kind? And about the breaking of Xenia, didn't Paris do it first by eloping with Helen? If Odysseus is right to kill the suitors as they violated xenia, how is burning down of Troy wrong?
@Iyervval I hate Nolan's post interstellar filmography with passion but your smugness is insufferable. If we were in homeric times, you'd either be the village freakshow or a eunuch madame of a harem.
@manujosephsan I absolutely loved your "why the poor don't kill us", a genius work on sociological underpinnings of this country. I look forward to your next book.
