Get over yourself. Every previous "programming is obsolete" panic has been a bust, and this one's going to be too.

The fundamental problem of mismatch between the intentions in human minds and the specifications that a computer can interpret hasn't gone away just because now you can do a lot of your programming in natural language to an LLM.

Systems are still complicated. This shit is still difficult. The need for people who specialize in bridging that gap isn't going to go away.

As usual, the answer is: upskill yourself and adapt. If a crusty old fart like me can do it, you can too.

I have been a skeptic about AI driven coding , but claude 4.6 just charmed me in a computer vision task that I was struggling with claude 4.5.

Subscribed to claude code in the new year, regret not doing it in the year end when they had no limits. I am a convert for LLM driven coding now. The speed compensates for the occasional mishaps, you still have the leash to control diversions.

I was so moved I paused and sat in silence soaking the courage it gave me. Felt the same when the father fights the cops to let his son go play kabbadi for India. People we love can carry us through moments we’re not sure we can survive.
