@__TomCollins Hi, I'm in Save the Children’s media team & I wanted to see in particular if DRC is on your radar as we’re working on trip to cover the crisis that I wanted to see if might be of interest. Follow back if of interest and I’ll DM with more, thanks.
Spent the day talking to kids in this remote village in northern #Afghanistan. Their only source of clean water is brought in on trucks by @save_children. They have no electricity, no toilets, no schools, no health facilities, no jobs and no money for food.
A thick layer of snow & slush in #Kabul this morning, with a long and bitter winter to come ❄️.
Millions of children in #Afghanistan are battling to stay warm and survive in the 🌍’s biggest hunger crisis, families burning rubbish for heat. #SavetheChildren scaling up rapidly.
Glad to have the chance to go on @5_News to discuss the importance of a scale up in the international response to the Ebola outbreak in the DRC and Uganda, and the importance of communicating with affected communities.
There's a growing gulf between pre-school children from poorer families and their classmates in far too many places. But this analysis shows it's far from inevitable - there's no gap at all in hackney and it's coming down fast in Derby.
'Early learning gap widens' for poor 5-year-olds in half of England: "A lack of support for childcare quality in England is still letting poverty dictate children’s chances", says @savechildrenuk's @StevenHMcIntosh, via @tes https://t.co/RQRqCw25ae
Does this look like a “legitimate target” to you? 29 Children killed yesterday by Saudi airstrike as they sat on their school bus. Enough is enough! #YemenCantWait
Is this what they meant when they said "Global Britain"? What signal does this send to the despots of the world? We'll turn a blind eye to anything if you pay us enough? https://t.co/vcv8vG9UpG
The IHR Emergency Committee convened by @DrTedros on #Ebola in #DRC met today. It was the view of the committee that the conditions for a Public Health Emergency of International Concern have not currently been met.
West #Mosul has been flattened. Never seen anything like it. The fight against #ISIS has left terrible scars, not just on the city but its people too, particularly the #children@savechildrenuk@SaveUKNews

Not a ceasefire and barely a pause. One of our partners on the ground in #EasternGhouta said that they had registered 32 airstrikes between 12 and 2pm today
