I had the immense honor of speaking to a group of bright and sophisticated students at Harvard University’s @Kennedy_School yesterday. The leader of the NRF, @AhmadMassoud, delivered remarks, followed by a fireside chat during which I thoroughly outlined the aims and vision of the @NRFafg, as well as possible solutions to save Afghanistan from its dire situation and prevent regional and global calamities. It is always refreshing to engage with the leaders of tomorrow during such opportunities.
A special thank you to @realdanwang and @DanielTElkins.
“The @NewYorkSun first raised the curtain on the issue back in 2022 with the help of the Taliban opposition group, the @NRFafg. Images of stacks of $100 bills were posted on social media by the central bank of Afghanistan.” https://t.co/sMgyo4nr38
Had a wonderful and engaging chat with a diverse community of Harvard students from across the world.
The students were curious about a wide range of topics - about India, the rise of authoritarianism and challenges to democratic politics, geopolitical challenges posed by China, and new technology such as AI.
I explained my views, especially on democratic production model, the power of listening, and India’s philosophical and spiritual traditions.
Listening to these bright, confident minds made me more determined to fight to give every Indian student the same exposure and opportunity to become global ambassadors.
@MickMulvaney wanted to ask you this at Harvard today but didn’t get the chance - what were your motivations for renaming the CFPB to the BCFP, and looking back, would you push to do it again?
The biggest animal families to have arms are primates and dinosaurs, right? So the asteroid that took out the dinosaurs also took out arms for like 50 million years
#Afghanistan is not safer but more dangerous under Taliban governance. The only reason violence isn’t through the roof is because the #NRF won’t resort to terror bombings like the #Taliban did while they were out of power. But ISIS-K has no such compunctions. #FreeAfghanistan
“Frozan Safi’s blood is on #Taliban hands. All across #Afghanistan, the Taliban have failed to protect women from violence, frequently been the ones to perpetrate that violence, and created the conditions for extremist groups like ISIS-K to thrive.” #NRF https://t.co/TdeH19mI2D

Taliban #Afghanistan, where wanting to be a doctor as a child qualifies you to run a hospital. Maybe I could be director of @ESA or @NASA.
"Amid critical shortages of medicine, fuel & food, Ahmadi’s first priority is to build a mosque inside the hospital."

Amidst celebrating the men’s #cricket team and their bravery raising the true flag of #Afghanistan, let us not forget about the women’s national team. Victims of the #Taliban’s extremist ban on all women’s sports, they have seen no support from the @ICC or Afghan Cricket Board.
