A book that chronicles the life and career of the renowned Somali songstress, the late Sado Ali Warsame, was launched in #London, #UK. Sado was an iconic figure in Somali music and one of the greatest female singers of her time. She was among the top stars in the national band, Waabari. Sado also became a member of Somalia’s Federal Parliament, and she was tragically killed in #Mogadishu in July 2014 by #Alshabab militants.
Muuse's militia is indiscriminately shelling #Laascaanood city now. Its very difficult for him and his supporters to accept that #Somaliland has lost this battle. Civilians were killed in the bombing, others were injured. #SSCGENOCIDE
The Somaliland militias resumed their indiscriminate bombing of Lascannod, leading to further civilian loss of life, the distraction of properties, and civilian infrastructure, and kept ignoring the IC and UNSC call to withdraw their troops to achieve a success ceasefire.

It was a pleasure meeting with Amb. Mr. Mohamed Abdi Affey, special envoy of UNHCR for Horn of Africa. We discussed about the humanitarian aid for the refugees and our displaced people in Ethiopia and current situation in Las-Anod. On behalf of our people, we thank the Amb. Mr. Affey & the UNHCR for their assistance and continuous support for those impacted and displayed by the indiscriminate shellings of SomaliLand.

The signal to start holding the criminals and war leaders of Somaliland accountable.
The Security Council, in their press release, stated their concern about the repression to which the protesters In lascanood were subjected
“The members of the Security Council expressed deep concern about the loss of life and injuries sustained in Laascaanood, in December 2022, when protests were quelled by “Somaliland” security forces, as reported in the Secretary-General’s report of 16 February 2023 (document S/2023/109).”
After referring to the crimes and violations committed by Somaliland against the protesters in Laascanood the Security Council underlined the need to hold the perpetrators and perpetrators of violence accountable.
“The members of the Security Council reminded all parties of their obligations under international law, including international humanitarian law, as applicable. They urged all parties to hold accountable those responsible for violations of international humanitarian law and violations and abuses of human rights.”
Somaliland is still practicing repression and attacking human rights in Awdal as well, where dozens of young men are languishing in prisons for more than 20 days without any legal way to detain them, and there are injuries left by police fire that fired on protesters in Borama.
It is necessary to report all violations committed by war criminals to hold them accountable shortly.
