This is bullshit. That rule applies when a ground is deemed unsuitable. But we played on there 2 days ago and we play Hyde on there on the 18th. If it is suitable for the 18th you cannot possibly claim it is not suitable for the 21st.

The NPL is run by suits who don't care about the wellbeing of their member clubs. Case in point, FCUM being forced to play a vital fixture at a neutral venue (a lesser one than their own home ground) for no discernable reason. And this response from the NPL chairman? Pathetic...

@MarkHowsham @mandy_welsh2019 @FCUnitedMcr We made the proposition of securing the neutral ground (Curzon Ashton) as a backup, but with the aim of having the fixture at our ground with a pitch inspection the day before & using common sense with regards to the forecast.

A decision made by a league committee that actually put rearranged games into the schedule in the wettest winter ever. Wouldn't mind if some common sense was applied here, why not allow the game to be played at Broadhurst park and should the weather look a bit risky let's say on the Friday before we switch the game to Curzon, nobody loses out and the integrity of the league is still in place.
Remember this is also the league who have never made a comment about how the Gainsborough game absolutely ruined the pitch and endangered players wellbeing.
By the way we fixed the pitch and got it back into unbelievable playing condition since that game.
