However, setting a channel to“Nothing” and then receiving unread messages doesn’t prevent Slack from putting a 🔴 notification indicator in the dock on macOS 🤨 Is this a known bug?

👋 @SlackHQ This is the new muted+unread channel behaviour, which breaks how a lot of people use muted channels in Slack.

We mute several channels but we still need to know when there are new unread messages in them.

In #Elixir, a lot of popular packages (eg. Phoenix, Oban, Absinthe, Tesla) come with a built-in integration of Erlang’s telemetry system.

But for it to be useful, you have to do *something* with telemetry events 🙂
