From a tiny population, 78 Falkland Islanders volunteered to serve in WWI and 150 in WWII. 57 did not return. Today we remember each of them, the 255 British troops and 3 Falklanders killed in 1982, and all others from here who serve and have served.

I've spent a wholesome weekend in rural Wiltshire visiting myriad little village pubs
Crowds were in after Remembrance Services wearing poppies and medals and having a drink and a roast
Nobody was talking about Palestine Marches, pronouns, or a climate emergency
It was heaven
@TaxiCharity@PoppyCabs Waiting at a bus stop in my wheelchair to go to the service at St Paul’s Cathedral wearing my medal. A cab just stopped and offered me and my wife a free lift. Down came his ramp and I was wheeled on board for a luxury ride. Thank you driver. Thank you ALL you brilliant cabbies.
Today we honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our country. At #MI6 we especially remember the officers and agents whose sacrifice remains publicly unrecognised. #WeWillRememberThem#LestWeForget2023
With Remembrance Sunday upon us, our final #RemembRAnce video is from the Master Gunner St James’ Park, Lt-Gen Sir Andrew Gregory KBE, who reflects on his own service.
We look forward to welcoming the @gunner_net family this morning at the RA Memorial.

My last Remembrance Sunday in Regular service. Next year I will march as a veteran. The baton has already been passed to the next generation @Mgi1997 .
Remembrance Sunday 2023
To all Armed Forces members, and the 352 RLC family members who have sadly passed away (death in service) since 93, and the many more from our forming Corps who gave the ultimate sacrifice, we thank and salute you.
You will forever be remembered.

BUILT IN BRITAIN: London North Eastern Railway's new fleet will be built in Britain after CAF Rail UK was awarded a contract worth hundreds of millions of pounds to build and maintain the trains at its factory in Newport, South Wales.
The ten tri-mode trains, which can operate in electric, diesel or battery mode, will be assembled at CAF Rail's Newport plant prior to entering passenger service on the LNER-operated East Coast Main Line.
CAF Rail's £30 million Newport factory - the Spanish-owned firm's first in the UK - opened in 2018 and employs more than 220 people. #UKmfg
