@Buck1Stop @idagarrett @AaronParnas @PelDrell There was nothing clear in even a fraction of that sentence. The definition of reconnaissance is “military observation of a region to locate an enemy or ascertain strategic features”. Not quite a tour.
@ebriff24@kennyontour07@mattluongo9@RGilbertSOP I apologize if I misread your point. I felt like you were trying to make a case that MacKinnon wasn’t responsible for the injury, the ice was.
@ebriff24@mattluongo9@RGilbertSOP How he fell wasn’t the unfortunate part, being hit illegally was. If he falls on his own, that’s an unfortunate injury. Question: I punch someone, they fall, hit their head, and suffer an injury. Would have walked away if they don’t. Am I responsible?
@ebriff24@mattluongo9@RGilbertSOP Patrick’s head hit the ice as a direct result of MacKinnon’s interference. Patrick was supposed to anticipate an illegal hit when he doesn’t have the puck and land differently? You’re putting the responsibility on the person who was fouled and injured.
@ebriff24@mattluongo9@RGilbertSOP I agree about the clean hits and injuries. It happens, it should not be punished. There is absolutely no aspect of this MacKinnon hit that was legal. I’m not understanding how or why you’re trying to justify this hit. It was illegal AND resulted in an injury.
@ebriff24@mattluongo9@RGilbertSOP Had to go re-watch that to offer an informed opinion and I disagree based on 2 differences. 1) Had MacKinnon’s stick not been there, Hall’s hit would have been clean (looked like it would have hit his chest). 2) MacKinnon had the puck, Patrick did not.
@ebriff24@mattluongo9@RGilbertSOP If a player is injured by hitting the ice, and the only reason they hit the ice was as a result of a dirty hit, then they are injured by a dirty hit.
@jsricheal17@TaylorHaasePGH@bmalandra That person in the striped shirt in front of that play is called a linesperson and they cannot call minor penalties.
@RayWoodland@JOEO62@notyouravgma@LesBowen Me too. He was the most obvious example I could think of since Hitchcock isn’t in the league, but that’s the point. This affects more than just the elite athletes. Getting in shape is the best solution to this problem, but that takes time and effort. It’s not a quick fix.
