I don’t usually post about my work because I’m very comfortable being in the background. However, this is all public and it’s very nice to be recognized!
It’s been an absolute blast working on the greatest podcast ever based on the greatest TV show ever.👇
@Ticket_Help2022@nineinchnails A lot of times now artists (via their teams) sell the rights to promoters for the entire tour in exchange for a huge lump sum guarantee. This then enables promoters to sell tickets (often dynamically) at whatever prices they want.
Not sure if that's what happened here or not.
@TheJacobTurner I'm seeing one hall of famer for sure (Cole), a few really good players (Strasburg was great but couldn't stay healthy) and several good players. Still very early, I get it. But I'm not sure MLB players should have amazing leverage before they prove it.
@TheJacobTurner Stephen Strasburg | 31 WAR (1470 IP and was only healthy around 4 full seasons)
Bobby Witt - 19.1 WAR (575 games)
Gerritt Cole - 42.6 WAR (1954 IP)
Adley Rutschman - 14.8 WAR (484 games)
Spencer Torkelson - 1.7 WAR (463 games)
@TheJacobTurner Kyle Wright | Out of the league
Austin Marin | -1.0 WAR
Brendan McKay | -.02 WAR
Joey Bart | 2.9 WAR (305 games played)
Andrew Vaughn | 0.1 WAR
Hunter Greene | 11.4 WAR (447 IP)
Casey Mize | 4.2 WAR (383 IP)
Bubba Starling | Out of the league (-1.8 WAR)
@TheJacobTurner A lot of risk in the MLB draft, especially for HS players. I'd love to know what the flameout rate is on those. It's still early for most of these guys, but of the ones who have graduated to the majors or have had some time in the league...
@ValKatayev Yeah, I think some people are upset about the rising home ownership costs, but that's not unique to Astoria. A project like this actually could mean a less buyers for the actual homes that I think most covet.
@SadCustomers@UPS@CarolBTome@FedEx They have a guarantee listed on their website for packages they claim is suspended, but it's buried and not clear which was confusing and they take no accountability for that and they won't budge. Glad there's other options at least. @FedEx has to be better than this.
I have to say, @UPS might have the worst customer service of any company I've encountered.
Delayed packages, can't answer questions, and confusing policies. @CarolBTome, you should remove the "customer first" tagline from your bio.
@FedEx, you open?
@SadCustomers@UPS@CarolBTome@FedEx An update on this. @UPS did respond privately, but just regurgitated the same talking points as before with no solution. The fact remains the package sent was quoted to arrive in 2 days and took 5 (it was also a birthday gift that was late) and it was due to delays on their end.
@SadCustomers@UPS@CarolBTome@FedEx Oh don't be surprised. This is what @UPS does. They do this in DMs too. They just stop responding and have no interest in helping resolve anything. Easier to just pretend they didn't get the message.
At least there's another choice. I think @FedEx at least responds.
