@cassidoo I mean if I get a word that's close to an answer, it would be good to get some feedback to see how close I am. All I know is I'm wrong, but the words feel like they fit the theme.
Thanks!
@BrightonHoveCC@BrightonHoveCC a year ago, the garden waste service increased from £70 to £85 - that was an 18% increase. This year it is going up 11% to £94.
When this service was launched, it as a pound a week, £52 a year. It's gone up by 80% in 5 years.
What is the justification?
@PrimeVideo@primevideouk boo negative bad I don't like ads in movies. I pay for the service but you add extra ads. Interruption ruins the experience. You disrespect the medium. Not cool! 😡 Cross sad bad fail cancel rubbish don't do it. #AmazonPrime#NoAds
I just FINALLY completed "Parabolic Reflector Dish" - Day 14 - Advent of Code 2023
Refactored the code so many times, in 10 minute snatches over Christmas. Still taking 35 seconds to get the answer in Part 2, so more work needed

Not too much rework between part 1 and part 2, just needed 3 days of thinking about it in the background.

Pretty happy with this one - opted to narrow it down from both ends in Part 2

@automarginacion I'm using Python this year. findall returns a nice list, but returns non-overlapping matches.
Sometimes I do AOC in js as well - but I took _rather_ a long time on this one so it's just one language for the mo. I'd like to try in Haskell, but every time I have to re-learn it.
That was a hard day 1! I reversed the string to search for the last item, backwards. That avoided overlapping strings. There's probably a regex way to find the last match.
