Our voice is finally being heard! MP Sujeet Kumar made 4 health demands at the Rajya Sabha today:

1) Stronger front of pack labelling
2) Health tax on junk food
3) Restrictions on junk food ads for kids
4) Stricter enforcement of FSSAI rules

6 months ago, I met Rajya Sabha MP Sujeet Kumar and shared my research on India’s junk food crisis with him. He promised me that he will bring the issue up in Rajya Sabha, and I’m glad today he did.

I realized early in my journey that making videos is not enough. If we want true long-lasting change in the country, it can only happen through policy change.

India has finally begun the process of taking action against false advertising, low-quality foods, and hard-to-read labels.

This is a small win in our long battle.

What other junk food regulations should India implement?
