Mamdani and his cohort of DSA radicals are clear and present dangers to our Constitutional Republic. They are not democrats. That the Democrat Party has caved to the radicals makes it no longer a credible center left option. In DC, Republicans should carefully and deliberately review all legal options to strip committee assignments and even fail to sit certain individuals if they cannot in good faith swear allegiance to our Constitution. Some of the current crop of Islamofascists winning primaries in NYC may qualify for the latter treatment.

Correct. Iran and its proxies are weakened. Military capabilities decimated. Nuclear ambitions massively set back. Regional powers in the Gulf now closer to the US and even Israel. We can assure they do not rebuild their proxies. At least as long as Trump is President, we can be confident that he will take required actions to enforce our will, militarily if and as necessary. I would not be surprised to see the regime actually fall during Trump's term.
