@ag_dubs I remember going to the npm IRC in ~2014 because I couldn’t authenticate. It turned out that having a colon in your password at the time would result in everything after the colon being ignored. I assume something was doing auth = str.split(“:”); name = auth[0]; pw = auth[1]

@americanwombat Though it’s hard to decide, because the calendar also features this illustration of the scene from The Silmarillion where the Man, Beren, stumbles upon the Elf, Lúthien, dancing in the forest in the moonlight.

This is exactly how Tolkien imagined it.
