@evornithology I didn't vote in this poll but it says that I did? It chose Binocs for me, which is not what I call them. I usually say Binoculars, but on occasion I use "nocs".
Anyone want an invite code to the other place? (ive got quite a few stored up) It's pretty nice so far, but it definitely needs more people.
Also I've noticed people never mention it by name....so I didn't either. Is there a reason for that?
@elizhargrave Ah! This is so cool! I would love to read a comic in this setting ๐ค it's such a great theme. I can't wait to play it ๐ also helping pollinators is a fantastic bonus.
@evornithology I listen to audio books on my commute to and from work, doing chores, etc. But it's pretty rare that I have the time/energy to read a physical book. Though I guess I read hundreds of kids books ๐คทโโ๏ธ
So, I've been doing #AvianAugust but I haven't been on Twitter much. I've been posting on insta and the sky app. But here's what I got. #AvianAugust2023
Went to Patuxent Visitor Center today, and it was absolutely perfect out. Also got some cool pics of this cutie. An Ornate Masked Bee, I think. Some Hylaeid, at the very least.
@baggins_bow I remembering watching this years ago thinking it was about birds. It was not, and I can't remember anything about it other than that disappointment.
@WorstGirlEva I see where you're coming from..
But Common isn't English, it's whatever language the players all speak. That's why it's called common, so they don't have to list out every human language?
Lingua francas are real (though often colonial) so why not have one in fiction?
