Dear designer, ask yourself "do I have 10 years' experience ... or 1 year repeated 10 times?"
Now I'm all for learning your craft and building deep expertise through repetition, but we're at a time when learning, experimenting, and doing have never been easier.
Lean in.
Dear designer, your favourite AI skill or agent shouldn't be a design one.
It should be your CFO.
Run every UX/product design recommendation through a "would this make sense to someone who mainly cares about the numbers?" lens (or similar).
If it doesn't, you're designing for designers, ego, checklists, and just about anything but the business.
We spent a decade jumping straight into wireframes, copying patterns and calling it "design."
Now AI is making context cool again: if you can't explain the problem clearly, the model gives you “mediocre” 🫤
Funny how the skill we abandoned turned out to be the one that matters most in the age of innovation.
