Touch ID is very much a real thing, however faking out the SEP and pretending to be a Macintosh is tricky business.
It's built specifically to prevent people from brute forcing it, so it when comes to reverse engineering you need to be pretty careful or you are quickly locked out of your Mac and forced to DFU restore
@buildwithdjdev has done amazing work getting it to the point where myself and others are able to test on different hardware with various states of OS X install configurations.
The reason it's not moving AS fast as other features is that the stakes are high, it can break machines !
But it's going to SHIP 🚀🚢 !
