First recorded Covid19 case comes just as @WFPYemen says it will halve aid to some Houthi-controlled areas due to a funding crisis. Some donors have stopped aid over Houthi obstructions - the US being one of them. WFP feeds 12 million Yemenis 80% are in Houthis territory.

Thread on what happened today: Today at 1:30 pm nine plainclothes security forces entered the Mada Masr office by force. They immediately began confiscating everybody’s laptops and phones. When asked who they were, they aggressively refused to answer.

We asked 4000 people across Yemen, and those in areas held by Ansarallah are more pessimistic than those elsewhere. In fact, approx 75 percent (as opposed to 25%) living under Ansarallah say their situation is bad.
