Why does only 3R Tau form insoluble deposits in Pick's disease? Stellar work from Pijush Chakraborty shows that acetylation promotes aggregation of 3R Tau but blocks aggregation of 4R Tau.

Why isn’t the university marking boycott getting more news coverage? Up to 1 in 3 final year students are currently learning they won’t graduate with a grade because of the pay dispute. My daughter - along with many others - has been offered £500 as compensation. After spending £27,750 on course fees, and countless hours and stress doing a dissertation that she was proud of, but has now been told may never be marked. This is outrageous. Quite rightly, students are saying they will tear up their unclassified degrees, because this is offensive. These are the kids who didn’t get to do A levels, because of COVID. They are being let down horrendously. I believe we need to do more to stand up and say this situation is unacceptable. Disputes happen. The grown ups should sort it out and do the right thing by these students now #standwithstudents

This is the case for all UK brain banks. Many researchers want to use the amazing resources that brain banks have for vital research. These resources cost money to run yet funding agencies and researchers think they can run on thin air!! #pathologymatters
