Here's the kicker.

You take a statin for your entire life and maybe gain 4-5 extra days of life expectancy.

You spend your life dealing with side effects like:
- Joint & muscle pain
- Nerve damage
- Liver damage
- Cognitive issues
- Risk of diabetes

Statins also block the body from making Vitamin K2 which causes calcium to deposit in your arteries and puts you at a higher risk of developing atherosclerosis and osteoporosis.

Atherosclerosis is what causes heart disease. But what causes atherosclerosis?

It's not cholesterol.

- Hypertension
- Diabetes
- Smoking
- Obesity

The arteries become inflamed. Cholesterol is sent to repair the damage. Then it gets the blame.

Instead of taking a statin, you should try to reduce the inflammation by:

- Eat more red meat, eggs, & foods with saturated fats

The result?
- You don't have to live many years with side effects
- Your arterial inflammation drops
- Your lipid panel ratios improve

But, your doctor will continue to "worry about your cholesterol."

They will never talk about how the "acceptable" number for cholesterol has been lowered over the years.

They will never tell you that your cholesterol changes day to day, even hour to hour.

They will never talk to you about ratios with triglycerides, HDL, etc.

They will continue to tell you to eat "low-fat" and make it sound like your cholesterol is a direct result of what you eat.

They never mention how more than 80% of the cholesterol circulating in your body is made by your liver in response to your body's needs. Only about 20% comes from your diet.

They will never talk to you about the multiple benefits of cholesterol in the body.

They'll continue to push the fear that you're destined for a heart attack or stroke.

They'll continue to tell you that you need a statin.

They do this because their education was bought and paid for by big pharmaceutical companies.

And big pharmaceutical companies win.

Make cholesterol the enemy, lower the "acceptable" number, and push the fear into people that they will have a heart attack or stroke if they don't take a statin.

It's a great business model and they've made billions.
