The money is in TV deals, and they wanted a smaller comp where every game could be on live TV in a month period. Too many teams in The Blast for that.

@Lardyda44 I personally think that the ODC has found it's place during the group stages at out grounds. It makes the game more accessible for locals & overall a better atmosphere than half empty test grounds. It is nice to see, and I wouldn't want to change it tbh.

We rely on the channel crossing being operational for freight FAR more than France do, and they have the power to put the mockers on it.
