Many thanks to all of our speakers, poster presenters, authors, and co-organizers Zhiyong Lu and Katerina Nastou for making the program possible. Looking forward to a full day of discussion! #BiomedicalNLP#TextMining
Looking forward to the Text Mining COSI this Monday, July 13 at #ISMB2026. The program https://t.co/IZcHfEMi3B will include LLM-powered biomedical question answering, multi-agent systems, biomedical information extraction, and trustworthy AI for scientific discovery.
We’ll close with a panel discussion (5:00–6:00 PM): "Trustworthy Literature Agents for Biomedical Discovery: Grounding, Reproducibility, and Evaluation" with Halil Kılıçoğlu https://t.co/MxLvJgs0Ek, @WenqiShi0106, https://t.co/jRpRr9RYPf, and Zifeng Wang https://t.co/4BHfk22wR4.

@DrZedZha I once asked myself why I trust one of my doctors so much. She is knowledgeable (great), listens (excellent), and more than once she’s told me “I don’t know - so let’s find out” (amazing!)
Today, we granted emergency use authorization for an updated Novavax COVID-19 vaccine that more closely targets currently circulating variants to provide better protection against serious consequences of COVID-19, including hospitalization and death. https://t.co/xzOuIpmSPe

We’ve released a new paper on designing & optimizing clinical trials for #LongCOVID!
Strong, high-impact trials are critical & most current ones are insufficient. The paper gives guidance on treatments, outcomes, design, participant inclusion, & more.

As The BMJ celebrates 10 years since the launch of its patient and public partnership strategy, we ask why more medical journals do not have a similar partnership with patients.

@Buckette84 I’m in a completely different field, but I hear the same thing from editors. But as a reviewer, I’m getting 2-3 requests per day. I can do maybe 2/week. Are the number of submissions up?
@tmprowell In early 2020 I happened to follow a few people that later talked about not getting better after COVID-19 & saw no reason that my experience would be different. Then I started a project (hoping to help a little) that required skimming thousands of abstracts on long Covid 🤯
Today, @theNASEM released the 2024 NASEM Long COVID Definition & Report "A Chronic, Systemic Disease State with Profound Consequences."
#C19LAP endorses this definition & we believe it will lead to significant progress if & when urgently adopted & implemented. Below, find the definition & items C19LAP is highlighting from the report!
We want to thank the committee for their work, which includes Long COVID patient & #C19LAP founder & president @k_bishof, the funders @ASPRgov@HHS_ASH, & the over 1,300 patients & stakeholders who participated in this monumental effort.
