Impact/Infomation Finance, Data Goverance, and CompLaw. Automated utterances of bits that communicate value. Some information might occassionally surface.
@IOHK_Charles@dgafcoin We ( @yumiprotocol ) are quietly working on a more general variant for funding many different outcomes. Using ADA and CNTs to combine kickstarter like assurance contract with a DEX and binary options (prediction market) creating info markets/finance.
One problem with "mostly right" takes on my dissertation is when they see the trees but not the forest. REST isn't about APIs; it's about system interaction for network-based apps. But the constraints were also designed to induce a uniform network-based API (URI+HTTP+HTML+etc).
The #SummitForDemocracy was stellar. 🎇
I urge all free countries to invest like #Taiwan in civic technologies to strengthen democracy. 🇹🇼
Reliable infrastructure makes our lives simpler & more convenient. Public digital infrastructure does the same for democracy. 💻

Thanks to @TheEconomist for publishing my letter with @VitalikButerin this week on using Quadratic Funding and similar mechanisms to expand public good provision without growing the administrative state: https://t.co/8reOOx4xAm
@BelindaSimcox@iang_fc A long time ago. Revisiting a lot of that thinking/work plus some atm in the context of te ao Māori identity and provenance which are deeply intertwined :)
@ElinorRennie I’m doing some work that is exploring NFT+DeFi and mātaranga Māori cultural property. I’m interested to know what you, DesART or others have been doing in AUS on the topic. /cc. @profjasonpotts
@RichDecibels@whimful@andrestaltz Speculation first is a better way of framing it. Money just represents state in information processes, and the way most conceive of it, very simplistic ones. Coordinape is a fantastic example of a more sophisticated market mechanism with trust & reciprocity outcomes in mind.
I just love the direction MirageOS is going in. The team is plumbing reproducible binary unikernel builds all the way through the whole OCaml ecosystem, from opam to dune to the mirage CLI itself. Really nice work, Hannes and friends at Robur!
@FedFarmers@TrustAllianceHQ@MPI_NZ@BeefLambNZ@mwlr_nz Without a doubt! But you’d need trustworthy data collected at the source for that to happen. Hope you’re talking to the Toha team about it https://t.co/qhVZWe2wlp <- What I suspect @profjasonpotts was talking about.
We’re unveiling the initial tech specs for @Arm Confidential Compute Architecture (Arm CCA) - a key feature of Armv9-A.
We're making the benefits of confidential computing accessible to all developers - protecting data & code wherever compute happens. https://t.co/fSuhYBpz0c
Monitoring Ghanaian forest biodiversity with machine learning & indigenous knowledge, and hybrid tropical cyclones hazard modelling. Just 2 of the PhD projects @AI4ER_CDT students will start this October. See more in their latest newsletter: https://t.co/mpAkFB4mfP
“But even in the darkest times, Ostrom’s work can remind us that the future is deliciously unpredictable, and full of opportunities for us to stumble away from the edge.” Elinor Ostrom was a brilliant thinker. https://t.co/hJUW30VO4W
@iang_fc@leashless@AbendumAs Accounting rules the world! Want to fix the world then Accounting is the place to do it. More-so-than a legal layer because accounting defines/measures value.
@iang_fc@leashless@AbendumAs A robust MC accounting framework provides a way to value the impact of planetary and social boundaries. i.e. the measure the impact on the Donut. A MC accounting framework includes a legal layer and a bookkeeping layer that supports value-flows/REA semantics. i.e ExUTXO.
