➡️ Had a great time @consensus2026 earlier this month
And one of my favorite people in the space @scottmelker is CRUSHING it❕
Had an awesome broadcast booth this year. He always makes time for a quick chat even tho he had tons of guests lined up
Legit genuine good dude
@Benedicta_Bee Those are some great books. I highly recommend Brant Pitre’s books, especially on the roots of the pillars of Catholicism. Fascinating stuff that brought me much closer to my faith.
In 2005 I worked at OC Register in CA, the leadership had meeting where they played a video of ominous future for Newspapers because of the internet. It ended with a joke “The year is 2030, newspapers are dead but the New York Times and Washington Post survive in pamphlet form handed out by crazy people screaming LEGACY!!”
Everyone laughed cause that was ridiculous. The papers surviving to 2030 was the joke we didn’t see.
I wasn’t comfortable with him in the first half of the season. His play calling was suspect and it didn’t look like he was holding players accountable for their play.
By the end of the season while the play calling could still be predictable at times, it had improved. And I give him credit for letting the team leaders handle the locker room and not getting in the way.
Excellent? No. But the ceiling is higher now than I thought it would be through 9 games.
That’s spot on. Wasn’t surprised at the return of the Smartest Coach in the Room.
But that he did it with a backup QB, in that game and that he seemed to be caught off guard by the 2nd half weather was almost a regression to his OC days with the Giants.
a couple thoughts which I'll fire off. Yesterday was one of first times I truly remember SP getting outdetailed by opposing HC. Hes been outcoached but hes been a stickler for those details but from the 4th and 1 call to Lutz kicking 7 yards back instead of 8. SP got out detailed

For the first time in a very long time, I was not able to complete today's Wordle.
Ironically, the answer was a word that is uniquely and quintessentially New Orleans.
I am ashamed.
Very ashamed.
@wooknponub My guess is that the algorithm is supposed to show you more of what you interact with (i.e. look at).
So when you click on the post of some whacko because you hope more context makes it less insane (Spoiler: It doesn’t), you get more whacko.
It’s a pretty big flaw.
