Narratives are likely cognitive artifactse, emergent properties of the human brain evolved to process complex, uncertain environments. They help us simulate scenarios, find meaning, and communicate intentions. But they don’t alter the physical laws or probabilistic nature of the universe. We may feel we're in a “special moment” of history, driven by rapid technological and scientific advancement, yet from a broader perspective, this could be just one statistically expected fluctuation in a long trajectory. Like nodes in a simulation, we’re free to create stories, but the underlying code , physics, entropy, math remains unchanged. The real challenge is to use our narrative capacity not as truth, but as a tool, one that aligns our behavior with longterm systemic realities, not short term illusions.

@attentionmech I agree, without any language, we’d still perceive patterns like recursive symmetries in nature, but we couldn’t formalize them into mathematics or systems. Our world would be raw sensory experience, not abstract constructs.
