Indeed he's a well known alcoholic, just a pity he has never been a functioning alcoholic, or husband, accountant(His failed profession)& he gets about wearing a Cowboy hat because he thinks it buys him kudos with the National party voters he was originally supposed to represent.

It seems strange that a man who looks like a freshly shaved shar-pei with terminal liver fluke would want to comment on other people's appearance

Iâm a chemist. I need to say this - because itâs getting dangerous out there. The biggest health myth in the world isnât about vaccines.
Or GMOs. Or fluoride.
Itâs the root of all of them.
Itâs called chemophobia - and itâs killing science.
Fear of âchemicalsâ now drives vaccine rejection, GMO bans, food hysteria, and entire political movements.
From tampons to tap water, people have been taught to fear chemistry - the very thing that keeps us alive.
Chemophobia tells us:
âNatural is good.â
âSynthetic is bad.â
Thatâs a lie.
Botulinum toxin is 100% natural and one of the deadliest molecules known. Aspirin is synthetic and life-saving.
Weâve gone from banning harmful substances for good reasonâŠto banning safe, well-tested molecules for emotional reasons.
Youâve seen the slogans: âIf you canât pronounce it, donât eat it.â âParaben-free.â âClean beauty.â
They sound empowering. But theyâre not science - theyâre marketing. And theyâre making the world dumber, poorer, and sicker.
Your body doesnât care if a molecule comes from a plant or a lab. Vitamin C is vitamin C.
Formaldehyde is formaldehyde and your body makes more of it every day than any vaccine ever could.
Dose matters. Source doesnât.
This fear isnât harmless.
It shapes public policy.
It blocks innovation.
It raises food prices.
It slows down cancer treatments.
Chemophobia is now mainstream and itâs costing lives. Scientists arenât losing because weâre wrong.
Weâre losing because fear spreads faster than facts. Because influencers sell fear for clicks.
Because lawyers monetize doubt. And because scientists are too tired to fight back.
So hereâs my message, as a chemist and as a citizen: Learn how toxicology works.
Call out chemical fear-mongering. Support policies based on evidence, not emotion.
Chemistry isnât the enemy. Itâs the reason you have clean water, safe food, and modern medicine.
If we let fear win, we lose all of it.
âŒïž Google is about to disable all adblocker extensions in Chrome. Instead of letting the adblocker inspect traffic itself, extensions now have to hand Google's browser a limited list of filtering rules and hope for the best. This leads to weaker blocking and more ads getting through.
Google makes the vast majority of its money selling ads. The company that profits from every ad you see also controls the browser most people use, with Chrome 149 being the last version supporting adblockers.
For example, under the new rules, uBlock Origin cannot exist. For millions of people, that extension is the only thing standing between them and a wall of ads, trackers, and autoplay garbage. One user put it bluntly: "The web is literally unusable without uBlock Origin."
@ChazHKR1@brisbanebroncos The team lost heart as soon as Payne Haas announced he was leaving! That news should've been kept quiet until the season was over & THAT sort of thing was exactly the reason for the uproar when this new system was originally suggested, then implemented, as that's what it can do!
@JackA121212 Broncos, not whilst Maguire was coach by the by, were stupid to buy Reynolds when Tom Dearden was the guy they should have stuck with and continued to develop.
Reynolds was always a bagful of injuries & well past his best, so blame Lockyer for that, 'twas his call for sure.
@VoteLewko@Lisa9Sophia@PaulineHansonOz "Lisa's" so desperately ugly she has to beg people to buy her coffee!đAnd she thinks sucking up to Hanson and Rinehart will somehow make her a dollar when in fact Rinehart would instruct her chauffeur to run her over if she got in the way. Hanson's a parasite, does no work ever.
@Lisa9Sophia@tsourlinis@PaulineHansonOz Rinehart's a maggot whose own children hare her guts, save for the youngest who hangs close in order to live a life of ultra luxury whilst never having done a days work in her whole life! She got so desperately cloistered she had to bang the help as no guys were interestedđ!
@Ozesurfer@MikeCarlton01@AlanKohler I remember when this home was brand new, a young newly married couple, he had long blonde surfie type hair(Loved himself)an he also had a brand new Porsche!
He/they were about 10yrs older than I and didn't live there too long so maybe the 1987 market crash wiped them out?
@ibaird@Peter_Fitz PS: The one drawback was that Richard Hammonds car was SO FAST, by a country mile in front of the Lamborghini, that in the last bit, a hill climb, Hammond went so fast he had a HUGE crash, how he survived?đ

It burnt for 3 days they said, due to fuel cells
@ibaird@Peter_Fitz Did yers see that one on 'Grand Tour' a 2 nights ago? It was a Croation 'Supercar' up against that idot oaf Clarkson in a Lamborghini & James May in the latest iteration of Honda's NSW(Which was the best looking of the 3, tho Hammonds car was nice)
EV blew away the others
My son is refereeing local Auckland rugby, because he loves the game. The newbies wear a jersey that says "FIRST YEAR REFEREE". Last week he looked after an under 15s outer suburban high school game. Abused by ADULT coaches, including one who crossed the sideline (illegal) and walked over to the kicking tee to abuse him.
It was all he thought about all week.
Do they want kids to referee? And what example is being set to the players here? Grow up people.
My column
The best team lost Origin I. There wonât be another miracle
And today marks 40 years of writing for the mighty Herald! (Thank you, thank you all.)
