@HiveHelper, I've just gotten home to discover one of my TRVs has had my boiler active all day (via Heat on Demand), even though the set point on the TRV is well below the temperature in the room (as shown by the TRV in the Hive app). What's going on?
@nectar someone has stolen all of my Nectar points, using them all at a petrol station almost 100 miles away (I own an EV, so I don't even buy petrol!). There doesn't appear to be a way to report fraudulent transactions through your app as far as I can see. Can you help?
@traffordgreens Other councils have been trialling gulleys for running charging cables through pavements, e.g. https://t.co/3DOUNl5hjo and @chargegully
@traffordgreens, the council encourage buying petrol/diesel cars as you can't legally charge an electric car at home without a driveway. Is there anything you can do to change this?
@Marclee78@OctopusEnergy@rikileaks Two fixes were required - the first one is live (which is why you're seeing the devices tab again) but I'm still waiting for the second one to go live. Shouldn't be more than an hour before it's fully working again.
@rikileaks@james7c2@OctopusEnergy Indeed, getting there! One bug fixed but it revealed a second, less severe bug. If you try again after a minute, you might find it works, but it's likely to be intermittent for another couple of hours or so.
@nsandihelp I just called your helpline on 08095007007 and was asked for characters from my password (the one I use to login online). Does this mean you store passwords in plain text?
@rmhrisk Sorry to hear that Ryan, best of luck with what comes next! @OctopusEnergyUS / @pydanny are hiring if you want to come join us: https://t.co/F1Ba1eeMJU
@OctopusEnergy gosh darn you really outdo yourselves and everyone else frankly! I’ve donated our savings with 3 clicks just so thoughtful, simple and giving help where it’s needed! I’m proud to be a customer of yours! @g__j
We've used real time fault monitoring data from smart meters to build a map of power cuts by area to show in real time how Storm Eunice developed. The colour scale shows the proportion of meters we monitor that have a fault… quick work by @robhawkes, David and Lilla
TIL that UK smart meter certificates *never* expire (their NotAfter is 31/12/9999) and the certificates used to authenticate requests sent to them have a 10 year lifetime. It's an unusual setup with short-lived CAs but long-lived certs: https://t.co/8BRwjrHsh2
@bradfitz I threw together something similar for my daughter a while back, but with more nyancat: https://t.co/yxbvB8MOL4 (no idea where half the code came from though, it definitely isn't mine, apologies for lack of attribution).
start of run: this is great
end of run: this is great
right after run: this is great
every other time: i can't think of any worse fate than going for a run
Right now, fossil fuels’ failings are leading to high bills and failed businesses, as well as devastating climate change.
It’s an honour to share that @AlGore’s Generation is investing $600m to help us build a fair green energy system for the world ⚡️@g__j

@MrFirthy I like the idea! I think you've overstated how many big tech companies are remote-first though. A number of the big tech companies you've listed are office-first, allowing only a limited number of days working remotely (e.g. @Google allows only 2 remote days per week AFAIK).
